People should learn not to trust the Pakistani press on reporting accurately on technical matters.
Trust they are the worst when it comes to defense reporting they can't tell properly even when standing with a weapon Khanzada was calling K-8 Fighter jets

H-2 (60+km) and H-4 (120+km) are guided glide bombs NOT BVR missiles, technology is shared by Kentron South Africa, mixed with some of our innovations at NESCOM, wolla :D

Whats the differences between that & a stand-off weapon ?

mamooo BVR is air to air and stand off weapon is for air to ground long range guided bomb its something between bomb and missile /.

Samajh aagaiii thiii itniii tooo ! :ashamed:

I was just curious that is an H2 or H4 like a cruise missile without any guidance ?

ohhhhhhhhhh bhai no they are bombs but guided can move like missile and hit the target while aircraft can stay away from target area . simple words if target is 110km from pak border jets can stay in the border and fire stand off weapon and come back from stand-off range. it will not be missile attack but stand of weapon attack

if they fire RAAD ALCM then it will consider as stand off cruse missile attack

“Standoff” would be more out of the range of the enemy’s weapons.

BVR is beyond the unaided human eye. That is around 37kms depending on conditions.

So you could be attacking the enemy at 50km distance (BVR) but you will not be at standoff if the enemy you are engaging has a weapon that can reach you at that range.

I am sure strictly speaking (from the meaning of the term) “BVR” can apply to air-to-ground and even G2G. However, generally speaking and accept context, BVR is used for AA combat and weapons.

Usefulness of BVR combat | Defense Issues
Exact extent of visual range depends on size of aircraft – while maximum visual detection range for MiG-21 is 8,5 kilometers, it is 15,37 kilometers for F-14. Smoke can extend that range by over 5,6 kilometers; while by other info, definition of BVR combat considers “BVR” to be anything beyond 37 kilometers. Optical devices such as IRST or TV cameras can extend range of visual identification of aircraft – PIRATE can identify enemy aircraft at 40 kilometers in ideal conditions.

The unprecedented improvements in reconnaissance
and intelligence gathering capability together with introduction of sophisticated
beyond-visual-range air to ground and air to air precision guided weapon systems
have enabled the achievement of significant and dramatic effects in all types of
weather and time-critical scenarios.

Is this missile shown in small picture H-4

Well it is a bvr missile/glide bomb. Just not Air to Air but Air ground.
Obviously glide bombs don't target aerial targets.
The real questions are:
What kind of propulsion does it have? If any? (Doubt it glides 120 km with pin point accuracy)
Are there radar evading systems similar to Babur or Raad?
Why is Paf reluctant to show it to the public if we know it exists.
It's capable of being used on JF-17.. If a customer (Turkey ex.) wants this weapon is Paf willing to export?

@Oscar
and others.

H-4 has solid fuelled rocket attached.
