Google about pac nawabshah plant

almost completed.4 times bigger than pac Kamra

that plant could enhance the jft production capacity and can meet export orders as well

Post details buddy.
Nobody knows about the status of Nawab shah plant.

That statement does not readily agree with the earlier statement that exports will start when PAF demands have been met!

Agreed, IT WAS EARLY STATEMENT, But now here we have the PAC Chairman quoting about the JFT's exports, dunno why but maybe plans have changed

Like if it is really gonna be 25-26/Year, then maybe they will produce 15-16/year for PAF and 10-11/year for export purpose :)

Never heard of Nawabshah plant.
Can you please post some details about it ?

Hi,

Again in this video---the wheels are hanging out for so long---the plane is in full flight but for the wheels----how much drag does that put on the plane---tremendous amount---.

The F16's I have seen taking off straight up---the moment they leave the tarmac---the wheels are tucked in immediately---and there is nothing stopping the F16 to zoooooooom straight up----.

Otoh---this wheels thing---I have seen in all the JF17 display videos---wheels hanging---is it intentional---paf doesnot want to show off in public!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note at 1:36 to 1:40. Retracting wheels while still very close to the ground.

The build rate as of now is 16/Year, which could be enhanced to 25-26 next year, depending on demand (PAC Chairman on November 11, 2012) :)

Link?? How many planes added into active service in last 12 months.. Build capacity is theoretical and build rate is factual..

Dunno about that, ask a Think Tank, maybe he can give you a suitable link for that.
All I know is that recently the PAC Chairman told that "47 JFTs are operational as of now and 3 more will come by the end of next month" (Insha'Allah)

Regard :)

EDIT :

So about 36 planes (1st 14 inducted in Jan 2010) in about 3 years (till Dec 2012).. That puts the assembly rate at 12 per year..

PAF Aeronautical Complex near Nawabshah: 571 acres of land documents handed over to AVM Arshad
RECORDER REPORT
HYDERABAD (October 21, 2010) : Sindh Chief Secretary Ghulam Ali Pasha on Wednesday handed over the legal documents of 571acres of land to Air Vice Martial Arshad Qudoos for establishment of PAF Aeronautical Complex near Nawabshah in a simple ceremony held at Darbar Hall, Nawabshah City.

Information Secretary Mumtaz Ali Shah, Secretary Education Ilmuddin Bullo, Secretary Forest Mushtaque Ahmed Memon, DCO Nawabshah Jamal Mustafa, officers from Pakistan Air force and district government were present in the ceremony. The Chief Secretary said that the land was being provided to PAF for enhancement and establishment of PAF Aeronautical Complex here at Nawabshah to provide modern skills and job opportunities to the local people. He said that this project would have capacity to absorb 4,000 to 5,000 youths of the district and also to provide technical opportunities to many more, enabling them to get jobs at other sister organisations as well.

He said that efforts were being made to complete this project within six to twelve months. He said that the government has acquired the land, and compensation to owners of the land was in progress and hopefully it would be completed within a month. now if the jft production of block 1 stops this year and mass production starTed on 30 June 2009

means total 42 months and 51 jft produced(1 crashed)

On 18 Feb 2010 first squadron with just 14 jft was raised

Current output is 16 aircraft per annum which reportedly can be increased to 25 as and when the need arises. !!

Recent crash of Mirage shows that still JF-17 is not ready for night time bombing and PAF still relies on Mirage Night time capability. Don't know what they are training on JF-17 for last 4 years.

There are large numbers of Mirages and F-7s in PAF inventory and they are all used extensively for training missions,
While we have a few JFT squadrons operational, it doesn't mean they have taken over all the responsibilities of PAF. !!
