Any one knows the accurate wing area of JF-17????

As I know its been popularly stated as 24.4m2,
If you go to wiki source for the wing area, the link is dead.

-There is no mention of wing area in the PAC website (current version/ PT-04)

This image from PAC website shows the area to be 24.4m2 (for PT-01 as shown in the image) however the production version (PT-04) has LERX too.

The chart from Izmir does not mention the wing area

I also took a look on that video of CAC head designer at Dubai and nothing mentioned there too...

According to some rumors the LERX provided 9% more area that is 2.19 m2 more area
which basically translates into 26.6m2 wing area...

However the main idea of all this is to calculate the wing loadings which come out to be
372 Kg/m2 and 342 kg/m2 a difference of nearly 30Kg/m2 !!!

So what do u guys think??
I know i did ask something like this a long time ago however seeing as senior members and mods are more online these days i just had to ask again

As the baseline it was.. That is no longer the case.
The SD-10's seeker is now a very modified form of the original seekers purchased from Russia.
The D/L is indigenous.

Why would Russia sell source codes and seekers without missile to China?

This is the seeker of R-77.

Which is being used by India for Astra & China for PL-xx families. Though it is modified by the Indians and Chinese.

This is the summary of information available in net.

I would not say ARMRAAM is better than R-77 families only because it is tested and downed aircrafts in actual war.

R-77 never fired in any air war against any other enemy jet but technically it has got good ECCM, more range than its opponent and 'duel mode' seeker.

Although it can pose a great deal of competition to other fighters if the the protype-06 is being created with extensive use of composites along with Retractable in flight refueling probe, FLIR(if it was developed) and RD-93Bs along with the dual seat to fly in 2007 and enter in service by 2008. So we may be able to get orders in 2009 and 2010 for this. Even then PAC should force GoP along with PAF to produce as much spares in Pakistan in a public-private partnership with JV in Engine development WS-13(100KN).
So that PAF:
110 JF-17 Block-I along with 30 Dual seat (till 2012)
110 JF-17 Block-II
110 JF-17 Block-III
70 FC-20s PACs. (till 2015)
59 Block-15s MLU-3s(Don't gone with the Block-52s)

Current force decision is 50 of each block..
and concurrent avionics upgrades of all blocks to Block-III std.
If there are any further purchases.. they will not be of Block-I's..
they will be of Block-III acft.

1) Operational, 32 Thunders. 18 in 26th Squadron and 14 in 16th Squadron. A third Squadron is at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra, having 11 Thunders under trials and tests.
2) The 'Quick' or 'Emergency' delivery of 50 JF-17s from China still is a news and nothing has been done yet. I have got no knowledge about the status of that program yet, ask Oscar or Nabil.

Those 50 Quick deliveries are still a mystery.. as there is no official PAF mention or any reports of any other procurement of JF17's other than the ones being manufactured at Kamra at the discussed paces.

according to some information they are going to be Block 2 , so it is possible that they are undergoing tests etc......
hope block 2 is gona be revealed by 2012....
