Strongest contender for Block-3 radar is KLJ-7A the only contender other than KLJ-7A is Leonardo formally Selex Raven ES-05 @Bundeswehr

Resemblance doesn't mean derived. Mirage 2000 resembles Mirage III and it's a completely new design. Super Hornet resembles Hornet and it's a completely new design. JF-17 shares no design feature with F-16.

Resemblance is the first derivation of design---and that too specially in a bird for flight---. So---by default---it would always remain attached to the original design---.

Resemblance is not a happenstance---there is reason and function behind it---.
