Power/thrust

Everyone says that....whats wrong with the power thrust?

China and the PAF, were attempting to convince the GoP to purchase the J10C, after the 26th and 27th Feb. Chances improve and also LR-SAM deal more likely.

Wish its true but even China ready to supply it(consider international pressure ) that must be multi billion dollars deal how we gonna afford it considering we are soon going to IMF bailout prog(where they also gonna put cap on our defense budget)

The JF-17 has proven itself in Combat and the world knows it. The design is improving incrementally on all technical parameters, but there is one area the jet doesn't seem to have changed much. The canopy seems to be limiting visibility of the pilot and its doesn't create the sleek lines that will impress at arms shows. Impressing potential foreign customers, and is one of the reasons people love the F-16 so much.

A Design the Jf-17 Block III team should study is the failed Novi Avion from Yugoslavia. Its canopy is modeled after early Rafale designs (with help from Dassault if I remember correctly).

Pakistan should consider adopting this design element, and it would really make the JF-17 stand out even more so.

I think the issue with that is that the engine and thus the central fuselage is too big. It's the same thing with the Mirage 2000.
Unless a much smaller engine was used like the Novi Avion had planed the plane would be thinner and would allow for that canopy design.
For the JF-17 having the cockpit and the wings built up higher like the f-18 would make it look a lot better.

Come on, so far we haven't seen any PL-15 under any JF-17, we do not even know if the radar or fighter itself is capable to use this missile. So far only the J-20, the J-16 and J-10C - not even the J-10B - were seen with this missile and IMO it is most unlikely that China will deliver such a game-changer right in the middle of this crisis.

Thanks for your detailed answer and indeed, that might for the FUTURE Block 3 but not the current Block 1 & 2 as reported and even more for a delivery within the next days. So in essence this is surely an option/possibility for the future, but the report as it is, is wrong, misleading and more related to propaganda than facts.

Who else knows about this years Block II production

2018 they built 12 on top of the 50 between 2015-2017

Then this year they will build 14 more Block II

So that’s

50 x Block I
50 x Block II
12 x Block II
And 14 x Block II

Half of all Block 2 have IFR

Total 126 units end of 2019

Plus 50 x Block III
