JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

.
There are way too many posts on this to tag individually but IMHO the TR array is mounted in front of the bulkhead, and not through it:

So the shape of the cutout in the bulkhead may be indicative of the access needs of the possible radar(s) but does not tell us whether the TR array is square or circular. Regardless, the radar choice has been officially confirmed so there is no speculation here that it may be the LKF guy.

.
So any of the three reasons,
Fuel
Sealants
Pressurised
Can be green area?

My dear friend! Green sealant is used for fuel cell area, as an indicator that this area is for pressurizing/pressured purpose. Pressurizing is only done in area where there is fuel cell and the same is covered by sealant in Green. Different sealant combination/material results in green.

Fuel cell inside
Covered with material and sealant which combination results in green colour
So such area is required with pressurization.

As many experts discussed about green area as helpful in reducing RCS, the same arguments insists that use of different material/composites results in green colour as well. So, in my opinion, in my personal opinion, not all the green areas are mere fuel cells. How? I think that there would be areas on the airframe where fuel cells are installed and so covered with sealant but composites for not just adjusting weight but strengthening the same being resistant to fatigue and reducing RCS. The double coatings.

Sir yeh fuel cell wali gup hur 20 pages baad cherr kar apko kya maza ata hai honestly bataein.... Ab phir idhr larr parrna 2 bandon nei....

GaAs heat flux is around 1100 W/cm 2 at base of amplifier and reaches several thousand for GaN/SiC. Works in a pulse mode with interpulse gap <1msec.

Assuming 1100TRM and peak power of GaN at 10w.. that’s 11kw peak and averaging 1.1kw with heat dissipation needed usually 1:4.. unless I am getting some basics wrong.

No ... Not at all my friend. The show must go on though.

Tye comments were made to clarify what's being said in the video and that put lot if confusion to rest.

Ham sab mil kar kisi ko bhi nahi larnay dain ge.

Is there any source which can confirm that TRMs of AESA radar for JF-17 are made of GaN or GaA?

The mounting plate is not square, it is round the hole in the mounting plate is square. The radar is mounted on the front of the mounting plate so the square or triangle hole on the back has no significance, the hole's only job is to let the cables connecting the radar with the avionics pass through.

Hi,
I don't understand.
The plate is square and KLJ-7A radar is round?
part of body structure, this is where the wing is attached, all the pipes with the holes covered are for fuel in the wing tanks and cables for the wing mounted hard points.

Shown moon date is 24. 1st Muharram was on 10th August. Exactly the 2nd September, 2021.

I finally got watch the full program. Regarding the serials, as off 2nd Sep:

3P10 and 3P09 are in sub-assembly (fwd fuselage taking shape. Notice in 2nd pic the "cockpit walls" are almost 20 cm thick - an A4 page is resting on them - this lends further credence to the fuel tank theory since its more than the critique of them being only a couple of cms thick):

(cockpit in inverted position visible in the far side of picture, the A4 sheet rests where the popular pipes will later be installed, 5 brownie points if you can spot the additional hardpoint):

(3P09 wings, also labelled as 7th aircraft - implying 2 prototypes/ examples were built in China - this serial convention is similar to that observed with Bs)

3P07 and 3P08 fuselage sections not seen in any shot.

3P07 wing jiggs:

3P05 and 3P06 most likely (mid fuselage section visible on the rightside likely goes with 3P09 almost complete front section):

3P03 and 3P04 are in final assembly:

@Pakistan Space Agency

Looks like we are on schedule to have a good many ready by year end, maybe even the 12 originally planned for this year i.e. upto 3P014
