JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

Yes, you are right, it is the side of the aircraft. I think PAC deliberately released a confusing picture. They are still unwilling to show Block III to the world.

But I can assure you one thing. Since the 3000 (Block-III) been flying in China, who knows, how many test flights conducted but now as the bird is here to say the least, Pakistanis will definitely sneak and release accordingly.

The image has been deliberately distorted to keep the preying eyes guessing.....look how the vertical tail fin is placed.

Why would PAF distort visuals when the world has seen Block-III flying in China already?

Any news on rd93ma from offical mouth????
So the new block 3 which we will produce at PAC will be the same as the one in China for testing? Is it just a test aircraft?
China still build fuselage parts
Each one is airlifted by il78 and then wings and other assembly happens here
IMHO, On the top right is the grey JF-17, which is clearly "Bravo", as it is moving out suggesting completion of its production run.

In the bottom left that golden aircraft is supposed to be Block III, which is moving in the picture suggesting commencement of its production. It might be the optical illusion but it feels like dual engine aircraft with wide air intake.

No clearly a single engine with single vertical tail
. The fighter will feature an *advanced variant* of the RD-93 engine previously used, the *RD-93MA*.
Is this official press release?

Why it look like it have two vertical fins?
It's displayed like a jigsaw puzzle.

I always like the idea of keeping things under wraps and maintaining the element of surprise for the enemy. Whether or whatever changes are made, Block-III is in counter to Rafale and we aren't going to be caught napping given the reasons as how PAF countered IAF lastly despite all the hype of MKIs and whatever they had. Let's hope for the best.

I think It's a bit displaced Image of Thunder from the back. Front seems pretty much the same.
From the back, The Vertical Tail's Position is like UMMMM.... But Seeing the Drag Chute behind it, It has to be in the Middle. I won't get the Logic ElseWise.
