Japan plans to remilitarize at lightning speed

So, you want China to disarm and then fight its possible enemies like US with Kung Fu ?

So why are you complaining about Japan..you think they don't have any hostile neighbors? You expect them to just use Kung Fu?

If you are going to throw up reasons for China you had better be ready to apply the same reasons to its neighbors.

They put Japan to be the enemy of its neighbours in Asia, its their history of invading and brutalizing Asians for a century and it definitely doesnt deserve to possess nukes if you ask Asians, maybe only you Americans.

"definitely doesnt deserve to possess nukes".

The Japanese are right in their fear of a future Chinese invasion. Most nations want to keep the status quo - China being the source of fuel, raw materials and manpower, not them running around playing age of empires, which is what the CCP is aiming for. To be honest, I don't see how China can break free without declaring some kind of war. I can see they are setting up for war all around Asia, with infrastructure "aid", buying up ports and all that. Even then I don't think China can win, being isolated as they already are. Not sure what their end game is, but it's not gonna be peaceful. It is a dire situation for China. I don't see China surpassing the US in any meaningful way in the next 20 years.

If you think about it, the rise of the US at the end of 19th century was really one of its own, every condition for it was absolute perfect, like the most remarkable mathematical formula. It's lab-condition perfect. I don't believe China has the privilege of rising peacefully.

Only the delusional Vietnamese and war criminal Japan think China is a threat to the peace in Asia. Who is really isolated in Asia, Vietnam or China ? Dont kid me and BS all the time that China is the enemy of Asia. As a matter of fact, Vietnam has been a spoiler in South East Asia for long time. Stop the BS that China is bent to create a new empire in Asia as if in your opinion the Chinese have no rights to develop their country and grow it strong in the process as all other prople do. Vietnam just as India can get out of Chinese BRI any time, it is not intended for you people in the first place. And dont you slander Chinese BRI project as an evil design on the world, we all know you Vietnamese grudge against China.

You Viets daddies US, Japan and Aussie dont represent the world esp in Asia, period.

China is the heart of east Asia, to say China is the enemy of Asia is preposterous. It’s was the literal engine that made the east rich for so long. In the same vein Islam was the glue that held the Middle East together, but now it’s fractured into multiple rival countries. The west has inserted itself into these regions disrupting the natural hierarchy of these regions creating chaos. Weakening these regions to feed its own growth. Only when the Islamic, the Chinese and the Orthodox world rise up will balance in Eurasia return again. But I guess there are people that love being cucks for Anglos they want to be their servants forever.

More “Seaman Ship”

Maybe they’ll recycle old US navy commercial music to recruit more seamen into the navy.

Japan economy is the 3rd largest; but China GDP is more than 4x as much as that of Japan.
When Japan commit more fund for military, how much left for the R&D expenditure etc?

I think a major part of civilian-military r&d is porous, allowing dual or multi-use. So, Japan would not have to sacrifice that much on civilian research, which is the highest in the world in terms of per capita, I believe.

China shall come out with new law that if Japan acquire nuclear weapon. China will declared war on Japan and invade Japan to disarm this evil.

Could be a shortcut to it: acquire/borrow nuclear warheads through the alliance and develop delivery capacity. After all, nuclear weapons are useful so long as they are not used.

NATO now eh? Interesting.

I didn't realize China was so weak that it had to actively worry about its little land neighbors...and by little I mean India too.
Lol this pretend American is beyond silly and adds nothing of value to any debate with respect to anything related to China. Your stick is to dismiss any Chinese concern, historical injury, and others as just China and the Commies being whiny, lying, etc..in other words, nothing can China do is legitimate on this f..ng re..d If that's not gaslighting then I don't know what is.

NATO isn't trying to enter the fray with respect to their lame *** attempt of pivoting to Asia? Have you not been reading your own daily garbage of links some of which directly quotes the current NATO SEC GeN stating that China as it's pressing threat? Threat? I didn't know that Norway was right next door to India and China.

Funny though, if China is so weak and one crisis away from collapsing according to your nonsense, why then is the U.S. is in a frantic mode to cobble up her vassals and fight the war on it's behalf against such weakling Commies? We can't be both weak and strong at the same time right?

Man, $320 billion for the army, the Japanese are too rich. When I read the news I fell almost from the chair. Imagine if we had the money we could build how many Hsr, airports, universities.

What is more dramatic is the fundamental way the defense/security posture had been hauled.

Same goes on with South Korea, now becoming a weapons exporter.

And Vietnam, 100% reliance on the Russian weapons is now at 60%.

These are fundamental changes triggered mainly by real or perceived threats mainly from Russia and China.

That's strategically unfortunate for the two, realistically speaking. Russia has been losing its energy card based on democratic peace theory in Europe. China has been losing its manufacturing card based on peaceful rise argument.

Both were practical, working tools for the two countries. I think absolute power-poisoned top leadership with infinite tenure destroyed them in a matter of years.

Japan is using China as an excuse to shake off US yoke, it's US should really worry, Japan has been waiting for this opportunity for over half a century.

US is actively supporting Japan normalization. It is China protesting. I don't know it is just a pretense or real.

China.. what a disappointment. For those that wanted an alternative to the US, y'all should be cursing at China and their trolls for doing such a bad job because they blew that chance.

Exactly my thoughts.

We were studying peaceful rise and actually thought it may be possible. Again, I believe, the fundamental reason is the ongoing fossilization of the political structure.

I used to believe it was rather evolutionary, but, this is obviously not the case.

Lol! At the newbie. Only here a few months and already you think you are a know-it-all..is that straight out of some 50 cent script or are you just the usual childish Chinese PDF user who can't post two sentences without regressing to name calling?

exactly. Notice how somebody uses the excuse of NATO for the buildup.

Well China has a long history of being simple poor rice farmers..should we hold you to that moniker forever too? Is that what you want the world to remember you as?

Chinese manufacturing has never been stronger.

There is no China and Russia. Chinese population and GDP ratio with Russia is the same as US to Canada, do people say "US and Canada"?
