We shall see. I have no hope to see J-20 in PAF, at least until PLAAF gets its fill first.

If Chengdu comes up with a new J-10 version (J-10D?) with much reduced radar signature, ala F-15 Silent Eagle, then PAF should go for it to replace F-16. These shall help us counter Rafale. As for fifth generation jets, J-31 is 5 years away, and TAI's project is 10-15 years away. J-20 is just a dream as of now.

Unless Pakistani establishment completely sever it's defence ties with US, and it is done with eradicating the politicians and bureaucracy having Western connections, there is no chance of J20 in Pakistani colors.

The decision is with China, unlike the title that somehow lets us feel we are in some kind of control to make this decision of acquiring the F22 equivalent. Remember, the US hasn't sold F22 to her closest allies, including Israel.

Why not a squadron of J-20s with a few squadrons of the J-31..that should balance things a bit with India..
