Its raining shoes Halelujah!

Guys before being all happy about it, first ask yourself instead...how would you like it if some one had done this to your president? ;)

I'll be the happiest person on earth, if a common Pakistani throw boots on Asif Zardari, :yahoo:

Man seeks leniency for Bush shoe-throwing

Published: Dec. 18, 2008 at 2:44 PM

BAGHDAD, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- A journalist has asked Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki for leniency for his shoe attack on U.S. President George W. Bush, an official said Thursday.

The prime minister's spokesman, Yaseen al-Majeed, said journalist Muntadhar al-Zaidi is seeking compassionate treatment for his decision to throw shoes at Bush -- an insult in Iraq -- as the U.S. leader was speaking in Baghdad last Sunday, CNN reported.

Bush was not struck by either of the shoes in the incident and al-Zaidi's case has since landed in the hands of judicial authorities.

The journalist was quoted as saying during the incident that his shoe throwing, a traditional Arab culture insult, was based on Bush's involvement in the start of the Iraq War.

In his letter to al-Maliki, al-Zaidi was quoted by al-Majeed as describing his actions as "the great ugly act I perpetrated."

Al-Zaidi's brother said the reporter will be tried on related charges next week, CNN said.
