Mrs Gates is talking about INDIA, so stick with the topic. Indians have an unhealthy obsession with Pakistan.

Since this thread is about rape in India, Indians like to deviate from the topic and bring in other countries. Indians should ask themselves why the focus on rape in India when rape occurs every where... They need to have self introspection.

On a thread regarding relating to rape, if you people show morality of Rapists, isn't it obvious Indian members will be disgusted by such disturbing behavior and attempt to condemn or correct it.

Us commenting on a thread, and criticizing the Western media for focusing too much on India's rapes, is NOT the same as rape itself. Even trying to make the comparison seems unbelievable, like what those Indian guys were saying in the Western Documentary "India's Daughter", they didn't even consider it to be a bad thing.

in india rapes rarely condemned that why bbc is taking advantage and make documentaries about it. They even interviewed some males and they said the women deserve it. however bbc has tendency to troll other countries, this also gives impression England is righteousness . truth majority are fed up with government and dislike the monarchy but cant say it publicly. prime minister never ever walk down the road alone unless full escort of hardcore security. truth is bbc is intelligence front organization.

It is discussed openly in our media and we were not afraid to show our ugly side of our society. Healthy discussion is welcomed but if you start generalizing all Indians as rapists then expect us to retaliate.

You were the one who tried to draw an equivalance between people posting on a forum (and actually defending India) with actual Rapists.

That is a very poor mindset. Rape is a very serious crime that can destroy someone's entire life.

I was supporting India, saying that it was UNFAIR for the Western media to disproportionately focus on rapes in India. What I said was, how many rapes occur in London every day, many of which happen down the road from the BBC headquarters in London? Why don't they make the front page like India's rapes do?

I said it was unfair that they were focusing on India specifically, when they have so many rapes in their own backyards.

Then guess what? The Indian members started attacking me, and supporting Melinda Gates and the Western media.

Hilarious. They cheer on the West even when they are dehumanizing them.

It makes sense though, since India was created by the West. That's why all their borders are named after British people like Henry MacMahon, and why their constitution and legal system are written in English, and why their entire system of Government and Law is simply taken from Britain. They simply can't criticize the West, there is nothing to be done about that.

Why is she using her considerable influence to further make "Rape in India" a talking point across the planet?

The same reason why the Western media headlines about India are usually about gang rape or related topics, to the point where a German professor noted that in Germany, India rape headlines are given the front page, while local rapes are relegated into the back of the newspaper. The reason? Sensationalism and attention-grabbing, which they can leverage into business.

And it's easy to push this image of India across the world, since the consequences are borne by Indian men, not by them.

The result? All those Western nations have issued "travel advisories", warning their women against coming to India. And there will be no shortage of Indians who fully support all this, simply because it's the West (I'm guessing you are an Indian by your posts here).

Its a leverage they are creating hoping this would bear some fruits someday, as it was all over the news !!
