India is an energy starved nation. We need to import massive amounts of oil because we need it. Does that mean that the oil suppliers need us more than we need them?!?

Stupidity aside, the market is an equal platform allowing for price realization through the forces of demand and supply. BD imports because they need the wares, India exports because we need the market and vice versa. No need to add a jingoistic perspective to plain vanilla facts.

To add to it - India's exports to BD stand at about USD 3 billion. India's total exports are pegged at USD 300 billion.

Even if one were to go by your twisted logic - that BD helps India more - i'm sure that a mere 1% share of exports would render BD useless, in India's scheme of things.

Smuggling account around 5 billion usd. So in total contribution is much higher.
