It seems US wants war

Of course the US has the ability to confront Iran directly. But it doesn't need to do it. It just needs to continue sanctioning its already failing economy and killing more of their proxies. Simple.

That seems like a 300 years plan to me. In 45 years, it hasn't resulted in your favor.

Unless there is conclusive evidence, your words are as good as mine.

But here is the most important question... does USA have an ability to confront Iran directly? My answer is no it doesn't. I have grown up listening to USA threatening Iran of consequences.

Here is an even more important question. Does Iran have the ability to confront the U.S. directly after this? My answer is no.

Go look at the Iranian GDP figures. Major European and Chinese natural resource/oil companies have already pulled out of Iran ... it's only a matter of time their economy crumbles.

Iran was a major ally during the toppling of Saddam Hussein.. Why are they suddenly the enemy? Obama wanted to sign the deal with them. Why are things suddenly changing? The Israelis are ready to fight till the last american standing. I hope you understand that.

Iranian problem is with its obsession with It's dead Persian Empire.

You don't think there would be a refugee influx into Baluchistan?

Pakistan has millions of refugees and a few more million won't be such a big deal considering Pakistan gave citizenship to 1.5 million refugees in 2018.

Iran never had the capability to confront the US directly. That is why they use countless proxies. In a real war, Iran's army would stand no better chance than Saddam's army of 1991.

when you invade other nations your soldiers will likely to be killed in retaliation,it is not terrorism if u.s army men killed in response to their invasion in other nations,it is legit right of people of region to defend against invaders
If someone kills American soldiers, then they will have a large red target behind their back. Simple. The Iranians thought it would exploiting the chaos in Iraq by messing with the US. They clearly miscalculated.

Iran can do a lot through its proxies in Iraq and Afghanistan. Might not feel it at home but will definitely notice it in the middle east and Asia.

Same goes with the U.S. with its proxies. Iran will feel it.

I agree. But that is suicide for the Theocracy. Will that be worth it to them? Only they can decide.

A war in Iran will not go over well in Pakistan. You should think bigger than your 4 walls. There is a major sea that is shared with Iran, a border with Iran and then there is Afghanistan. All these things are shared with Iran so for you to write off a few million refugees just shows how little you know. It won't be a few million guy. It will be 5-10 million. Pakistan won't be able to handle that many refugees with its own economic issues. Then there is the Arabian sea to look for... You think a war in Iran won't effect energy costs in Pakistan? If cost of oil goes up then cost of food goes up too and that will be felt globally.

I hope Pakistani military is not stupid enough to join with the Americans on this misadventure. 15-20 percent of Pakistanis are Shia and they are very well organized and connected. This will be a problem on its own.

Iran couldn't even beat Saddam's army despite having overwhelming numerical superiority during the 8 year war. What makes them think they can recreate the Persian Empire with basically every single country in the Middle East allied against them.

Operation Praying Mantis

The Iranian frigate Sahand attacked by aircraft of U.S. Navy Carrier Air Wing 11 after the guided missile frigate USS Samuel B. Roberts struck an Iranian mine

Do you know how quickly Iranians decided to call it quits and signed a ceasefire with Iraq after this incident?

This is not the US first attempt on general Soleimani.

This is silly. We have land bases all around Iran. We have the most advanced weapons systems in the world, and the ability to project them via Air, land, and sea.
