In any case, my comment was triggered by your outburst, which I will put down to a temporary lapse.

Help! I keep 'bursting out' approximately 15 times a second, due to a combination of hypertension and OSA. That's kind of a temporary lapse of a permanent nature.

I generally agree with your posts, except when you write against Pakistan.

This bit is serious: I have one thing negative about Pakistan, and that is the bad turn she took with

1. The Objectives Resolution;
2. The declaring of an Islamic Republic by Bhutto;
3. Zia's introduction of Sharia Law;
4. Over 30 years of military dictatorship and continuing domination of civil administration by the 'deep state', as my Pakistani friends term it.

I will never hesitate to speak out about these things, IF the subject is unavoidable.

However, a rule I have followed strictly is never to interfere in discussions on Pakistan's internal developments between two Pakistanis. In fact, I have withdrawn from PTH in protest against Indian bigots disrupting every discussion there, in totally obnoxious terms and in an extremely offensive manner, and in protest against the Mods there, all of them personal friends, refusing to take stricter action against this scum. I am told RR thought about enforcing registration to post (just like PakDef), but decided it would amount to censorship - BAD decision.

Going after them single-handed worked, for a few days, then it degenerated, and it is totally disheartening doing it again and again. I'd rather try to persuade Alternative or Austerlitz to come around to my pov on some subject dead and gone for at least a millennium; at this age, it just doesn't feel worthwhile to scrap with those MFs.

So Vajra doesn't go there any more.

Fanboys are fair game, whatever their ethnicity; that includes Indian fanboys, if I could allude to your remark about my humour (warped and peculiar as it is), but also Pakistani, Chinese and Bangladeshi. The only time encountering a fanboy bothers me is in the case of Bangladeshis; that is a real downer, reading the rubbish they write.

If you have an example of my having written harshly about any ethnicity, as an ethnicity, I'll buy a hat, and eat it on video and post it (the video) to you.

I agree. I have seen a lot of Indians praising precisely because they are fighting against islamic terrorist successfully. But most Indians dont even know what or where israel is. Very few Indians know about Judaism and jewish people.

Ask them about USA/China/Pakistan/christinity/islam. I think you know they will have difficulty answering the first question.
What link are you talking about? When have personal opinions needed links to be expressed?

By "a lot of Indians" I mean among the ones I have talked to, not majority of Indians. I am not making such claim at all.

Actually the first time the man on the street in India came to really hear about Israel and Jews was post 26/11 w.r.t. Chabad House and the brutal murder of 'Baby Moshes' family.

At the most, (some) Indians know about Israel's conflict situation and a little about terrorist attacks by Hamas. The Zenith of awareness was in the aftermath of 26/11. Is it the same now?

Let anybody (including Developereo) take a truly representative poll of Indians. The results will turn out as I have said.

Israel's PR in India is unbelievable. In last year's UPSC(India's civil service examinations) mains examinations, in two papers(!!), general studies and international relations both, there was this same single question.

Israel is a natural ally of India. Comment.

I mean the same question with exact same wording in both papers!! In an examination that tests and recruits candidates for all higher levels of Indian bureaucracy?!!

And my friend who took both these papers, apparently wrote something like Israel's formation ideology and Pakistan's ideology are the same. and that they are not natural allies. He did not get through the exam. I am not implying anything though.

Israel is borderline psychotic. Given its geographic location and its neighbors and its own small size and population - it needs to be psychotic. Israel can also get away with stuff others can't because the Western world to a large extent still feels guilty about the Holocaust and the historic persecution of Jews. the african world do not.

the latin american world do not.

western europe is quite divided.

i dont think china has much love for them.

not sure about the far east.

and india we know why some (not all) of its people bonds with people who oppress muslims, so no, i would say most of the world do not support israel, only the most powerful do.
