Israel offered David's Sling to india

Therefore, it is surprising that during the extensive talks during the early part of last December, between an Israeli delegation and the Indian ministry of defence, the Israelis had offered the David’s Sling and not the Iron Dome. The David’s Sling is an air defence missile in the short-range of 250 km.

I think LCA LSP-3 is using EL/M-2032 already.. if India asks for El/M-2052, they can offer it easily.

El/M-2032 is a pulse doppler MMR radar AFAIK, hardly brings any new features in the platter. While El/M-2052 is an AESA radar, sure can be a game changer for IAF, if LCA is ordered in numbers.

Last time, the deal as mothballed by the Israelis, on some US concerns. :undecided:
 
First offer El/M-2052, then we shall talk. :P

For both they will need US approval and so far these deals failed by the lack of these approvals. Even the currently negotiated offer of Litening G4 will be interestings, although it is clearly superior to the French pod, it is co-developed / -produced by Northrop Grumman and has some US parts as well, which requires export approval and licence production rights.
Lets wait and see, where things goes.

Was it US pressure tactics to force India to go for US aircraft, as those birds were the only source of AESA radars back then as Rafale wasn't equipped with RBE2 until 2012?

If such was the case, then that condition isn't valid today.

It was US pressure that forces the Israelis not to co-develop an AESA radar and provide certain techs for the Gripen, just like they denied US techs or Israeli AESA techs for LCA so far. And we know that their restrictions on licence productions are still one of the major problems wrt several defence deals, simply because they don't share their techs.

Btw, Rafale had AESA even in 2011 when it came to India for the trials. 2012 was just the first delivery of a Rafale with AESA for French forces.
