Yes but religion plays no role in our governance or elections or policies at all(if anything religion has taken a back seat I'm almost every aspect of our lives, which o be honest I think we need to at least improve that since the country should not be totally atheist), neither do we have religious based parties like the Islamist based one in Bengladesh which Hassina is trying to disband by the way. Those are so 18th & 19th century as Europe itself found out. Only brings more trouble and issues.

ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ রাষ্ট্র হিসাবে তুরস্ককে বিশ্বদরবারে তুলে ধরার জন্য সেখানে সংবিধান থেকে ইসলামকে রাষ্ট্রধর্ম হিসাবে তুলে দেওয়া হয়। বাংলাদেশেও ঠিক একই কারন দেখিয়ে রাষ্ট্রধর্ম থেকে ইসলামকে বাতিলের চক্রান্ত চলছে। তুরষ্কে ১৯২৮ সালের ১০ এপ্রিল সংবিধান হতে ধর্ম সংক্রান্ত সব কথাই বাদ দেয়ার মাধ্যমে ইসলামকে রাষ্ট্রধর্ম হতে বাতিল করা হয়। তারপর সেখানে যে পরিবর্তনগুলো দেখা যায় তা ছিলো রীতিমতো উদ্বেগের। অবশ্য ইসলাম নির্মুলের কিছু উদ্যোগ রাষ্ট্রধর্ম বাতিলের আগ থেকেই শুরু করা হয়। তবে সেই পথ বাধামুক্ত হয় রাষ্ট্রধর্ম ইসলাম বাতিলের পর।
১) ১৯২৫ সালে বিদ্যালয় হতে কুরআন ও ধর্মশিক্ষা নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়।
২) ধর্ম মন্ত্রণালয়, মাদরাসা-মসজিদ বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয় এবং হজ্জ-ওমরা নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়।
৩) বড় বড় মসজিদগুলোতে নামায বন্ধ করে দিয়ে সেগুলোকে জাদুঘর হিসেবে উন্মুক্ত করে দেওয়া হয়। তুরস্কের সর্ববৃহৎ মসজিদ ‘আয়া ছুফিয়া’কে রূপান্তরিত করেছিলেন সরকারি জাদুঘরে।
৪) নারীদের জন্য হিজাব পরিধান বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয়। সরকারি নির্দেশে তুর্কী পুলিশ রাস্তায় বের হওয়া মুসলিম মহিলাদের ওড়না কেড়ে নিয়ে ছিঁড়ে ফেলত।
৫) ১৯২৮ সালের ৩রা অক্টোবর আরবীর অক্ষর নিষিদ্ধ করে ল্যাটিন বর্ণমালা চালু করা হয়। আরবিতে কুরআন পড়া, নামাজ পড়া ও আজান দেওয়া নিষিদ্ধ হয়।
৬) তুর্কী ভাষা আরবী হরফে না লিখে ল্যাটিন হরফে লিখতে হতো।
৭) সাপ্তাহিক ছুটি হিসেবে রবিবারকে নির্ধারণ করা হয়।
৮) তুরস্কবাসীকে ভিন্ন ধরণের পোষাক পরতে বাধ্য করা হয়।
৮) মুসলমানদের ধর্মীয় উৎসব ঈদকে বর্জনীয় ঘোষনা করা হয়।
৯) তুরস্কের অধীন আজারবাইজানকে রাশিয়ার কাছে বিক্রি করে দেওয়া হয়।
১০) বক্তৃতা এবং বিবৃতিতে নিয়মিত ইসলাম ও ইসলামী পরিভাষাসমূহ নিয়ে মিথ্যাচার ও কুৎসা রটনা করে সেগুলো বর্জনের প্রতি সবাইকে আদেশ-নিষেধ করা হয়।
১১) সরকারী লোকদের জামায়াতে নামায পড়া নিষিদ্ধ হয়।
১২) ইসলামী নিয়ম অনুযায়ী সালাম দেওয়াও নিষিদ্ধ করা হয় । এর পরিবর্তে সুপ্রভাত (Good Morning) বিদায় (Good Bye) ও হ্যান্ডশেক রেওয়াজ প্রবর্তিত হয়।
১৩) ১৯২৫ সালের ২৫শে নভেম্বর ফেজ ও পাগড়িকে জাতীয় পোশাক হিসেবে বাতিল করা হয় এবং হ্যাটসহ ইউরোপীয় পোশাক পরিধান বাধ্যতামূলক করে সংসদে সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ ভোটে গ্রহণ করা হয়।
১৪) হিজরী ক্যালেন্ডার তার কাছে অগ্রহণযোগ্য ছিল । এজন্য ১৯২৫ সালের ২৬শে ডিসেম্বর হিজরী সনের পরিবর্তে ইংরেজদের তৈরী করা ক্যালেন্ডার (গেগ্রিয়ান ক্যালেন্ডার) চালু করেন । এর ফলে মুসলিম জগতের সাথে তুরস্কের দৃঢ়বন্ধন ছিন্ন হয়ে যায়।
১৫) ইসলামে মূর্তি অগ্রহণযোগ্য । তারপরও ১৯২৬ সালের ৩রা অক্টোবর ইস্তাম্বুলে কামালের মর্মর পাথরের তৈরী মূর্তি স্হাপন করা হয়। তুরস্কে এ দৃশ্য সর্বপ্রথম। ১৯২৬সালের ৪ঠা নভেম্বর আঙ্কারার যাদুঘরের সম্মুখে আরও একটি মূর্তি স্থাপিত হয়। এভাবে তুরস্কের সর্বত্র তার মুর্তি স্হাপন করা হলো। ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের তার ছবি আঁকা বা মুর্তি বানানো পাঠ্যসুচীর অংশ করা হয় ।(বাংলাদেশের ক্ষেত্রে মুর্তিকে ভাস্কর্য বলা হয় )।
১৬) ১৯৩৪ সালের ২৬শে নভেম্বর একটি আইনের মাধ্যমে সব তুর্কি নাগরিককে আহমদ, মুস্তফা প্রভৃতি আরবী নাম রাখা নিষিদ্ধ করা হয় ও যাদের এধরনের নাম ছিল তা বাদ দিয়ে প্রাচীন তুর্ক নাম গ্রহণ বাধ্যতামূলক করা হয়।
১৭) আলেমদের প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো ভেঙ্গে দেয়া হয় এবং আলেমদেরকে প্রজতন্ত্রের শত্রু হিসিবে চিহ্নিত করা হয়। কোন আলেম তার বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করলে তাকে সাথে সাথে হত্যা করা হয়।
১৮) ১৯২৪ সালে ওয়াকফ সম্পত্তি বাজেয়াপ্ত করে ইমাম, মুযাজ্জিন ও আলেমদের অর্থনৈতিকভাবে বিপর্যস্ত করা হয়।

Thorin Oakenshield কুলাঙ্গার কামাল পাশা অন্য দেশের হস্তক্ষেপ ছাড়াই এত কিছু করেছে...........ভারত তো আমাদের দেশের সব বিষয়ে হস্তক্ষেপ করে।আমাদের কি হবে ভাবছি।এরদোয়ানের মত কোন নেতা দরকার।নয়ত অচিরেই বাংলাদেশ হবে আরেকটা তুরস্ক বা তারচেয়েও খারাপ কিছু(আল্লাহ না করুক)

Urdu is basically Hindi. Only difference is Urdu is written in Arabic script and Hindi in Devnagri. But, Urdu is more a Hindu language. So, stop ranting on language when you guys will be sent to Hell for speaking the language of the Hindus.

Do you mean Indo-Aryan language? If you did, and were pointing them out then you weren't looking too hard at where most of your own fingers were pointing. Punjabi, Seraiki, Potohari, Sindhi, and Urdu are all part of the Aryan family of languages.

Hindi/Urdu is one language with different formal useage of certain vocabularies....and of course different choice of written script.
Bengali is in same loose family (Indo-Aryan language) but of course it will be quite different to your ears, it comes from a collection of older Prakrits , notably Pali and Magadhi.
That does not mean its totally unrelated, given the Indo-aryan languages all stem from related ancestors who had Sanskrit as their most formal tongue.
The level of influence from Persian (another indo-european language) and Arabic (semitic language) with regards to vocabulary in Urdu/Hindi does not ultimately make them a different family from Bengali and the other (northern) languages of the subcontinent who likewise also have notable influences from Persian and Arabic (though not to the same level) but also influences over time from other language families like Austronesian and Dravidian (in effect what created the many varieties and flavours of Prakrit a long time ago).
The languages continue to evolve today. Look at the amount of English that has seeped into regular talk for example in all of them.
