As I said..There are weaknesses that they can utilise but success or failure will be circumstantial..

That is not even a weakness... Weakness is when your own people support terrorist or that ideology .. In Pak people don't support that ideology.. If they did .. We would have collapsed years ago.

One more thing I noticed is that most divides are based on shia sunni..when it came to Iraq. .Syria. ..and now yemen..This divide is being created in Pakistan more prominently recently...though again...there is a weakness but it will depend on what happens during that phase.
thats coz of institutionalised state discrimination ... Saddam prosecuted shias,Kurds etc... Than came Maliki who did the same to Sunnis... In Syria there is an alawaite dictatorship dynasty ..

Same can't be said by Pakistan.. A country that has had shia COAS,Presidents etx...

I'm a "shia" myself ... My family has both shias and Sunnis..

There is no shia sunni discrimination now any conflict... Terrorist attacks can't force 2 communities (both suffering) against eachother ... So no chance of a "civil war" there.

What you say is true..though at some point of time Shias and sunnis Co existed even in Iraq, Syria and yemen..otherwise there wouldnt have been millions of shias and sunnis living together in those countries before the issues started..The issues came to such a head that opposite sides are and willing to kill the other in the most brutal way possible....This is where the maulvi plays his part indirectly instigating cross sect hatred and violence..There is a thread today on how ahmedis are being targeted in a village in pakistan...which is driven by the local mullah gang...one more aspect where maulvi play their part is in grooming potential recruits for such terrorist groups with extreme ideology..There needs to be someone on the ground who does re brainwashing and it is mostly done by them starting at a very young age. ..you and I know how many are and were created in madrassah of pakistan...there were plenty of reports in pakiStan media itself.

Churning hate against any group affects the overall composure of the possible recruit.

That being said..circumstances similar to what happened elsewhere is and can be created in a volatile country like Pakistan.

ISIS threat in our region seems to be very much real...and for them to find a base in Afghanistan isn't very difficult.
