Is the revival of Pakistani cinema sustainable?

Quality of acting in Pak tv dramas is already poor. On top of that Pakistani dramas have very very poor production values, its like watching home made drama serial with phone camera. So imagine when same people try to make movies. Most of technical people working on Jawani phir nai ani were Indians who usually work in B grade movies. Indian B, C grade movies have better productions values then Pakistan. It has nothing to do with money but lack of talent at this point.

Only Fawad Khan in khubsoorat has done above average job when it comes to acting in bollywood. Rest of actors who have worked in bollywood have been piss poor even by bollywood standard.

And don't forget music, Pakistan can't beat bollywood in music either now days. There was a time when they used to steal our songs all the time but those days are long gone.

Wow hold on, we don't have quality of acting in dramas. That's what you said? Noooo we have really good quality of dramas and actors. Right now our drama industry is only facing one problem and that is poor scripts. Fine! But all those actors in JPNA were Pakistanis and I guess the writer is Vassay Chaudhry, also Pakistani.
Nadeem Baig is the director and produced by Salman Iqbal
Humayun Saeed
Shahzad Nasib
Jarjees Sija. Production of Six Segma Plus. One of the finest production we have. Idk who were Indians then. And
I won't comment on any of Bollywood movie. I don't even pay a little attention to Bollywood. I am sure fawad did great job because he is a really talented actor, but never watched it so can't say anything. Another thing only few are given the role with top class actors. I second your thoughts on music differences that Pakistan and India have.

Pakistani dramas are definately brilliant and it improved alot since last 5/6 years after introduction of hum, express, geo, ary, a plus and others private channels dedicated to just serials. These dramas have great story, acting, direction and stories are based on reality and social issues and love title songs of these drams as well.. Last one i watched was maat and diyaar e dil. Briliiant

Yes. We doubtlessly have the best dramas. Maat was one of the best serial and played a role in drama revival and its OST. If you haven't watch Pyare Afzal, Main Abdul Qadir Hon, Parsa, Durr e Shewar, Kafir, Shehar e zaat do so. Must watch pieces. Actually, I think Pakistani drama OST(s) are very much better than our movies songs.

This season was not as good as we expect from our drama industries now. Unfortunately, there were just 2/3 themes were being discussed. Some of the dramas even crossed the lines. It was hard to watch those serials with family. We need to bring on the new stories.

Sangat in the top of the list then Kaisy Tum Se kahun was a bit over too.

The best ost list is pretty long. :)

Yeah chup raho wasn't family drama.
Nahi Tum ho Ke chup to theek tha.
It touched a really taboo topic and instead of showing the victom as weakling they showed her as someone fought against false accusitions and social ills to live a respectable life

.
Well i was talking about Pakistani actresses who have worked in hit Pakistani movies like Iman

The lady in this movie is so hot man...I have to definitely see this movie for her.
