Most people from our part of the world (Greater Middle East)
Since when is Pakistan part of a "Greater Middle East"??
will only be fine with Israel if its citizens agree to live under Palestinian rule or buzz off. I'm one of those people.
Why will Israelis live
under Palestinian rule??
A proper solution to the Israel-Palestine issue is a single country called Isratin, which was proposed by Muammar Gaddafi in his document called The White Book.
Basically you want me to accept that Pakistan was a mistake and Jinnah and all those people who migrated to newly found Pakistan were wrong.
Which of the two people wanted a separate country? And which majority would have been okay with united Hindustan or Bharat?
Muslim majority not only wanted freedom from British Raj but a separate land of their own ....... the difference between the two people lies in their struggle for freedom and goals for that struggle, Hindu majority was fine with Freedom from British Raj only.
Well, the Dalai Lama, who lives in India, recently
got into a controversy by stating that the Partition happened because of the ego of Nehru who refused to allow Jinnah to become the prime minister of ( united ) India. The Dalai Lama also said that Jinnah was Gandhi's first choice.
The Dalai Lama
had to apologize for his statement, but I think he is partially true. I believe both Nehru and Jinnah was egotistical and stubborn.
Which people killed their founding father and for what reason? The reason for that killing should tell you which people have a strong bias and hate towards the other.
I didn't understand your point.
By the way, Godse ( Gandhi's assassin ) was a member of RSS and Hindu Mahasabha. Both are right-wing organizations which hated Gandhi.
Aman ki asha should accept we are two different people, we may be living in same conditions and may have the same slave mentality, but we are not same people. The reality that we all have to inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide is not enough to say that we are all same. For people who lived in the same region, they are bound to have common traditions and habits to some extent ...... but that is not sufficient to label us and put us under one banner of same people.
Allow me to talk of this point at a later date.
Your idea of socialism may succeed in Pakistan but it will never be a success in india ..... that is how much different we are.
You are correct to the extent that socialism is not the ideology in many of today's Indian youth, and the leftist youth of say, the JNU ( Jawaharlal Nehru University - Delhi ), find the going hard.
Socialism was the fashion in India until the late 80's. You can sense it in the 2003 Hiindi film '
Hazaaron khwaishen aisi'.
I suppose these things go in a cycle.
Pakistan came close to true socialist governance during the attempted coup d'etat in 1951 called the "Rawalpindi conspiracy".
We Indians majority sees Pakistan as another neighbour .Some North Indians may have obsession .
But its end there.
The South Indian ( Kannada ) actress, Ramya aka Divya Spandana, had
this to say after her visit to Pakistan.
