If pathan are not the natives of punjab then jats and rajputs are also not natives of punjab because according to historian rajputs and jats also come from central asia, Pushtun have been living in punjab for thousands of years, All the pathan who ruled bharat were born in punjab and never in their life went to afghanistan except ahmed shah

SHER SHAH SURI BORN IN MULTAN
Bahlol Lodhi born in Multan
Ahmed Shah born in Multan

Punjabi is not an ethnicity its a linguistic classification and i have seen pathan speaking punjabi

I will not make any comments on your post except about Sher Shah Suri. Sher Shah's grandfather was a Pathan who had migrated to Bihar probably when the Pathan Bahlul Lodi became the Sultan of Delhi sometime in the 1450s. Bihar is historically a part of greater Bengal. Sher Khan's father was a small Jagirdar in Sasaram. And he was born here.

The foreign Mughals under Babar invaded Hindustan, won the 1st Battle of Panipath in 1526 and seized the throne of Delhi from the ruling Pathan Sultan Ibrahim Lodi. At this defeat, younger brother of the slain Sultan fled to Bengal with all his Pathan followers along with their family members to the court of Sultan Nasrat Shah of Bengal and took political refuge there.

After many a political upheavals in Bengal, Sher Shah took over the throne of Bengal. He defeated the troops of Mughal Humayun two times somewhere near the border of Jaunpur and finally took over the throne of Delhi.

So, Sher Shah Suri had nothing to do with Punjab in his early life. But, when he became the Emperor of Delhi, his empire included Punjab and today's Afghanistan in the west, and Bengal in the east.

I would say its part of the Middle East,

Pakistan comes under the purview of United States Central command.

The United States Central Command (USCENTCOM),

However the United Nation seems to define it as this.

this is definition is bit crazy. so i would stick with prior definition.

But why? does it matter?

I know you bharti and bengali have deep issues with punjabis, may be you were ruled by them, and you think pathans are being manipulated and ruled by punjabis, You are not the first person claiming him to be indian born, There are several books which say sher shah was born in multan some say he was born in haryana and some say he was born in bihar.

Sorry to say, But you are not reporting correctly, Bihar became part of delhi sultanate during sikander lodhi reign who was a son of bahlol lodhi but sher shah was born before the invasion of bihar by sikander lodhi so he cant be born in Bihar, Sher shah suri empire never extended beyond indus river, the only area he ruled in pakistan was part of punjab, He never ruled afganistan, the road he built only extended to multan,

I can give you many sources which says he was born in multan but then you will give me your link to prove he was born in bihar, but if we take into account the invasion of sikander lodhi and several other historical facts, Multan was a major city in those days and when sher shah was born the delhi sultanate was only restricted to punjab, haryana being old punjab.

Some bharti website saying he was born in multan
Sher Shah Suri (1472 – 1545) also known as Sher Khan and as The Lion King, was founder of the Sur Dynasty of northern Indian rulers. He was born into a Muslim Afghan family in Multan today part of Punjab in 1472.

Pakistani website saying he was born in multan
Sher Shah Suri, "The Lion King", founder of the Suri Dynasty, was born in 1472 in Punjab.

i think i have praise for them...and yes, they are religious and ethical as well... :) the tamil indians are altogather different species and even normal indians dread them. see what they have done in malaysia. in 1991 , there was a marshal law in kuala lumpur because muslims were beheading the chinese who were beheading the tamils and vice versa.
)

What makes you think so ?? Have you experienced Tamil hospitality first hand or even made friends with one of them. I dont think so.

BTW if you had some obtuse racist intentions in typing that....Dont take the pains to reply to this post. I am not interested.

Punjabis don't have arab ancestory. Punjabis are not genetically related to arabs at all. arab genes can only be found in Sindh and Balochistan at very low levels... no arab genes in Punjab. we have nothing to do with arabs besides sharing same religious beliefs.

these so called Syyeds and Qureshis are only "Syyeds" and "Qureshis" by name... nothing more.

Punjabis should be proud of our own Punjabi heritage only.

Omar,

If some Punjabis are ashamed of their heritage and claim to be arab, just because of a name, then i guess there's really nothing i can do about it.

PakiiZeeshan sometimes you are so obessed with pride that you react like a racial rioter...I am afriad your are one of those "Punjabi pride" type Pakistanis...try to read up on history...Punjab has early influx of Arabs..Mohamed Bin Qasim led a cavalry of 20 thousand Syrian men into Multan which settled there...strains of arab culture are all over Punjab and anyone with high school level history knowledge can point out. And by the way Punjabi on Pakistani side is written in Nastaleeq / Persian script which itself is a Arab-Persian development..Now dont let me get started on the Arabic and Persian loan words..And there are many Punjabis with arab ancestry..often you can simply point by their facial features giving away arab ethnic hints.

i see here ,some pakistanis are trying to call themselves 'aryan'

Since when Aryans became Indians...? Last i read they invaded india and beat the living daylights out of Indian/Dravidian civilization. They were rather to colonizers of India which infested the white supremacy fear and white skin obsession in the heart of dravidians..a heritage which still runs rampant today..!

Many Punjabis, Baluchis and Iranians can claim Aryan ancestry. Two major ethic clans which dominate Iran are ethnic Persians and Aryans.

I wonder since when Pakistanis started getting a feeling that they're aryans. I mean, hitler for instance, never really approached them for the purity of their blood, did he?
