Is Pakistan part of South Asia?

Pakistan is south asia and South asia is Pakistan.

Anything in South asia by default belong to pakistna stretching upto sri lanka including the people, history, land and culture.
Pakistan should belong to C.Asia

. . . .
What is South Asia? Depends on how we define it right? We can keep extending the boundaries to the west all the way to Mediterranean or the Bosphorus strait (!), or come up with more geographically acceptable boundaries.

So how about the "land directly south of the Himalayan mountain range". Sounds reasonable? With this definition, Pakistan is no longer part of South Asia! ;)
It all depends on how you see it. USA treats Pakistan as part of middle east from displomatic point of view, geographically Pakistan is part of three regions South Asia, Middle-East and Central Asia. That is a great advantage for Pakistan.

. .
Actually this is true that Pakistan is in the middle east. While we call ourself south Asia. I think we should officially include our country in the middle east.

India are unable to understand Pakistans relationship with Muslim world. The thing is India is the only Hindu country in the world, how can you expect them to understand bonds Christian and Muslim countries have with each other?

This frazzles their brain and they end up spewing racist vitriolic nonsense. They are used to countries like Bangaldesh, Nepal, Myanamar sucking their dicks so they expect it from their other neighbor too.

Indians I would recommend you to wiki casus belli and read up on religion based bonds if still unsure. There is a strong ideological divide between India and Pakistan.

That's the more realistic description of Pakistan. Excellent Post. Truth is we are in the point that joins Central Asia, Middle East and South Asia. Our peoples are representative of these 3 regions. Nowadays, the Americans/CIA have started to consider Pakistan more as the Eastern wing of the Middle East or being part of the greater Middle East.

That is the geo-strategic significance of Pakistan. We have Afghans/Pathans, Tajik, Uzbek, Hazaras living in KPK and tribal areas so Pakistan touches Central Asia. Punjab borders india, Baluchistan touches Iran and in the North China and in South, sea is called Arabian Sea for some reason. That is why, we have a very different culture mix than india; from food to traditions, music to dances, languages etc.
While india being 6-7 times bigger in area is just stuck right in the middle of South Asia and does not have such geo-strategic advantage.

Since the middle ages till the end of WW2, many of the European nations/empires we're at war with eachother or had a lot of hatred for one another. But at certain critical times they always united, intermarried and regarded eachother as brothers and sisters especially when it came to non-Christians/non-Europeans. This is what connects and bonds Europeans to north and south-Americans. In the same way Muslims have that bond with one another despite our confrontations and arguments with eachother. This is why (from personal experience) a Pakistani will bond with an Iraqi or Turk than with a non-Muslim. We have the same religion, same beliefs and worship in the same Mosques. Only a Christian or Muslim will understand this. You're right, an indian cannot understand this because there are hardly any other nations that indians have an emotional, sentimental, racial, religious or bloodline link to. indians are by and large very ruthless and materialistic people. They find it hard to empathise with anyone that is not like them.

From a personal point of view, I'd say indians are a unique race with a very specific religion that only they understand. They have very little in common with the non-indian world.
