Pardon me if I sound retard ..
But usage of English in our educational system is making things difficult for some students . Not all students can work well in english and not everyone can make up their mind to understand those new words of this language.
In our country, there are many people who have very high iq and have got a very sound mind still cannot go ahead in education if they don't have a complete grasp on english or regard education as difficult cause of new language.
Your native language affects your brain development. Western nations have the benefit that they use english in their daily life also then carry studying in the same language and also rule the world with this same language.
While it's not case with us, our mind is developed in urdu , study in Same language but then told that it's important to learn English to move ahead or to become a successful person in this earth like the famous people. In order to get a job , you need to have grasp in english that is just a injustice to those who don't know english.
Seems like your iq is not any benefit to you unless you learn English . It should be limited to a language of interaction and should not be given the state of dependency on it .
Hi,
The chinese learnt it from the koreans and the japanese to learn english before they come to the U S.
You cannot live in prejudice against a language---. When all your major research in technology and advancement is carried out in english---then that is what you need to learn---.
Do you young pakistanis think that we just made advancements in our nuc program by studying urdu---then you are mistaken---.
All our scientists participating in that program in the 60's---70's were acting--thinking---living and working like of they were in the U S---UK---Germany or hollnd etc etc etc---.
Same dress code---english as the main language spoken---same work hours---same work days---same shopping habbits---same transportaion system as they had in the US or UK---.
Urdu had no industrial / technological base and still does not have any---like the chinese or the japanese language had---or like the german french polish or other languages had.
There were no books on industrial technology and development in urdu---there was no centuries of research in urdu language as well.
The japanese had---the chinese had---the koreans---but when they realized that in order to get to the next plateau---they had to learn english---they have embraced it without prejudice and same with europe's non english speaking countries---.
Progressive nations have looked at language as a TOOL to get to a higher level of development---the loss of identity is a character issue and not that of a language issue.
My uncle---one of the pioneers of pak nuc program---was the son of illiterate parents---but when he did---he lived like an american even in pakistan---but still had his father living in the house till he passed away.
So---it is not the language that is the problem---it is the character of the person that may create an issue.
