Is our success dependent on english ?

Youtube bbc how islam brought europe out of dark ages! I am sure if it was peetv you would have argued but since its bbc you will accept every word as fact and stoo arguing!

Issue with Pakistani qoum azaadi keh baad bhi gooray ki ghulami!!

Sir knowledge should be accessible to everyone and anyone and in case of Pakistan where majority is uneducated but can speak and understand urdu i am sure they will benifit if they could read and write and understand knowledge if it was in language they are comfortable in!!

Dude you are underestimating power of child's brain, they are dozens times better in learning then grown up. Problem isn't language but the methods of teaching where our education system sucks - Urdu and English medium alike. Here children of friends go to Persian schools and they're doing much better than their counter parts in Pakistan going into Urdu and English medium schools, and their Farsi is as good as the natives. My daughter attended farsi kindergarten and she was much better than my son who did it in Pakistan despite that he is more intelligent than her.

As I mentioned earlier that Punjab's literacy rate was higher 160 years ago than today, and education at that time was mostly in Persian. The time of translating knowledge in Urdu has long gone - we don't have time, resources and capable human resources to do so, on top of that Urdu isn't fit for this purpose - I studied in government schools myself, still remember my experience of trying to learn basics of computer from Urdu book or the accounting from Urdu book thinking that it will be easier than English. So, it's better to teach the language instead of reinventing wheel. Singapore can be good example to follow.

Come back to me when you can proof not with words but with proper links that, The modern science physics, engineering and whatever branch you take it, was influenced by "Persian muslim scientists". Instead of throwing BBC documentary as a proof. which you cant even link or cant even properly show me which Discoveries of muslim scientis modernized the entire europe.

That is the reason with people like you. I just shared a knowledgeable link with you w.r.t european modernization and you are still sticking with unknown unverified BBC documentary and not opening up your mind horizons to research properly. Thats what killed the scientific discoveries in muslim world in 11th and 12th century and Muslims went into Dark period.

Mate i respect your POV but i dont agree with it! I am of the opinion that knowledge sbould be accessible to everyone and accesible in language majority can understand! I am sure german or french or many universities in western europe teach in their native language but yes they also teach english! But here our schools are occupied only in teaching english!!

Khair we ruled the world for hundreds of years and we ruled because we followed what we were suppose to follow and not become something we were never suppose to!

As for that link ill share if i find it i watched that docu few years back!

Which two communities in South Asia adopted partial "refresh softwares"?
Since nobody replied to this question so I will answer. The first group is Parsee and to a lesser degree followed by Sikhs. Are they succesful communties?

We live in a globalized world. English skills are necessary because its the majority of customer's language.

But only English is not sufficient, Learning French, Spanish and Chinese can help immensely as well.

Also taking pride in one's own language is good but comes at the price of being a frog in the well.
But how good will it be if there's a way for success for those too who have no grasp on English .
We should not let those talented and geniuses get wasted and spoiled .

The difference to your software argument with respect to the Parsis is that they don't have desi hardware.

Btw, what happened here?

Cheers, Doc

Agreed but they are not Europeans either. And Sikhs do tremendously well. My "hardware" was differanting between Europeans and "others". Parsee, Japs., Sikhs fall in the "other" category.

Let's call a spade a spade bro.

Parsis were favoured by the Brits because they were whiter than the rest.

And the fact that they were not of Indian origin, in fact a historic master martial race, with the romance of the Greek wars, allowed them to play favourites and villify the Indian culture and people further, in typically devious subjugation they had mastered as apex colonialists.

Cheers, Doc

Very much so. But they left 70 years ago. I need not go through the annoying habit of Parsees being behind too many success stories. Freddie Mercury got where he did because the British favoured his grandad? The list goes on, on, on etc

But still his abusive language has no justification. I only rated his post negative & see how he reacted.

I don't want to discuss it here, but people also said he came from the gutter etc. So let me handle this.
