Obviously Iraq never plans a war with KSA when they just got invaded and US said Iraq is not capable of defending themselves from foreign threats until 2020. The unconquered part of Saudi Arabia is nothing but desert, useless wilderness wasteland that’s why no one bothered with it, that’s why borders of most ancient middle eastern empires stopped at around the current Iraqi-Saudi border since that desertland has nothing.
The Ottoman empire could take all that desertland but DIDN’t because it is useless, only now oilfields have been found in the east, the middle still remains mostly unihabited desert for nomads.
