Whats wrong with reading a book. The Gita is truly enchanting.Have you ever gone through it???
Who are you to judge another man, boy ? Regardless of anything else, Sir Abdul Kalam is a Muslim because that is what he wishes to be known as. If you have other theories keep them with yourself. In India it's the man that matters and not his religion.
Jinnah used to smoke, drink and did not keep a beard. What does that make him ?
I have not given my verdict, nor am I to decide that, let the forumites discuss this.
True muslims they are not as per Islamic scripture, because they beleive in other imams beside Prophet Muhamad, which makes them less than true muslims. Read Shahada first.
Faith and relegion is personal thing why do you wanna disscuse some one's personal beleifs (spellings) ?
Which part of Rafiq Zakaria's definition does he not fulfill by not attending a few parties and get togethers?
Asaduddin Owaisi, 33, leader of the Majlis-e-Ittehaadul Muslimeen and member of the Andhra Pradesh legislature, Hyderabad:
Quote:
Muslims are surprised to hear that he starts his day by reciting from the Holy Gita. As Muslims, our day starts by offering the fajr (dawn) prayers. It is also strange that Kalam says he gets solace by playing the veena whereas, for Muslims, reading the Koran -- the word of Allah -- gives the greatest solace. At his first press conference after his nomination, Kalam recited verses from the Gita. He could have recited the Quranic verses in which a devout human being thanks Allah for bestowing knowledge and worldly positions on him.
I have snubbed the thread starter in the earlier posts but as now he has come clear what is saying so i think he is write.
We are not judging anyone.
There are some basics which should not violated one of these is anyone who does any shirk is out of Islam.
There are two kinds of sins
1. Gunnah-e-Kabeera (the ones which are not pardonable it also includes shirk which means bowing to any deity or accept anyone other than Allah as God)
I know many people in Pakistan who are Muslim by name only. They break many cardinal rules of Islam. The only difference with Dr Kalam is that they publicly profess Islam but privately live life like a scoundrel. We Pakistanis cannot pass judgment on Indian Muslims when many public people in our Islamic Republic cannot pass the same litmus test.
For heavens sake do not turn us (in this forum) in to some kind of "kangaroo court" to discuss and decide on this matter.
And please do not attempt to give "your verdict", just as we ought not to give "our verdict" on what you seem to have set out to do in this thread.
When you are celebrity or head of a state, these kind of things do happen.
Similar things happened to Obama too.
If Obama was okey, why not APJ Kalam?
A Muslim is not allowed to recite Gita or Bible, thats why they are banned not only in Mecca, but in the whole Saudi.
Faith and relegion is personal thing why do you wanna disscuse some one's personal beleifs (spellings) ?
Why should you judge anyone at all?! Why this arrogance of being able to 'pass judgement on other Muslims'? Even after Pakistani society is being ripped apart by riots and violence, I hear the same BS from people: Shias are not "true Muslims", Ahmadiyas are not "true Muslims".
Stop being a judge of other's Musalman credentials.
