The only plausible explanation for this is that it is either a poor attempt to scare Iran, or Israel is planning to attack Lebanon, and asked US to help reduce Irans support to Hezbollah, and a cheap and desperate attempt to drag US into war

Only a suprise attack on ACs will work...so iran should go for first strike...if US did first strike then it will be impossible to respond for iran..

They can with help from US, and as long as US is stationed outside our borders with the excuse of "deterring threats against US forces and allies" We cant help Hezbollah without risking full war with US. If this is the case, it's a very clever move.

One thing you must know, Iran has experience of war with USA in 80's in Persian gulf. And for last 30 years they are collecting power for that. Iran do not following west or east doctorin for defense. Iran is following it's own doctorin base on musaic defense, and base on that build it's weapons.

I expect they attack Yemen, but again they proved they don't care about Saudis.
Americans are imbalancing power in west Asia, and that mean war will happen, but I do not think that would happen for Iran. Let's wait and see what is American strategy if they have one.

As a Pakistani I don't want Iran to lose war because it will impact Pakistan security.
1) enemy will work on greater Baluchistan project
2) Pakistanis may join Iranians to fight and it will be another war on terror for us.
3) RAW which is already using Iranian soil against Pakistan will find more freedom to do that.
4) oil prices will increase and we import our oil.
5) Iranian porous border may become threat to us.
6) after Iran is invaded, which will happen, prophecies say that enemy will invade whole Arab India will fight Pakistan. Armeggedon will be started.

But I see no way Iran could win the war or the war won't happen or Armeggedon and invasion of hind won't happen soon after that.

I will agree with the statement of opportunity in pure military terms. one should not redicule swarm tactics. Persian Gulf is a far cry from the oceans of atlantic and pacific. i am preety sure when push comes to shove US Navy will not place aircraft carrier in Persian gulf.

These carriers will be exposed to swarm attacks..one should appreciate what Iranian have developed in asymmetrical capabilities in persian gulf and strait of harmuz.

No matter What people in power in Iran (Mullah or Military) Think....Iran Has to come to terms with Pakistan. we are natural allies! and i Think Iran now understands. since 27th Feb 19 they know what exactly Pakistan Armed forces can do!
