There is no need to worry. There have been no official statements. The day we see direct exchange of words is the day it will get serious. It's a big difference between telling someone in Iran that we will destroy US if they attack, and to say "we will destroy you" directly to US.

What I get from this is that US really has lost it and truly is afraid of going into war with Iran. This is just a freak show. I remember one time in Iran when I was a kid. There were two drivers who almost had an accident. One of the drivers pulled out his car, then the other came out too, they started yelling and threatening each other. They were extremely angry and aggressive. My uncle said they are not going to fight. I asked how he can be so sure. He said, one who have the balls to fight will not start yelling and threatening, he will just throw the punch and start beating the other guy. He told me if anyone in the future comes at you and starts yelling and threatening you, know that he is afraid of you. In the end they didn't fight, both of them went back to their cars.

The only plausible explanation for this is that it is either a poor attempt to scare Iran, or Israel is planning to attack Lebanon, and asked US to help reduce Irans support to Hezbollah, and a cheap and desperate attempt to drag US into war

Yes, could be. My key concern is that they have already destructed 5 Muslim countries, to the hilt: Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, Syria and Yemen. There appears to be a large post-WW2 conspiracy of West to totally subdue whole of the Muslim world. This US venture seems to be the next stage of that. I desire that somehow Iran shall get itself out of this conflict, at least, for now, in any case.

GENEVA (Reuters) - The United States’ military presence in the Gulf used to be a serious threat but now it is an opportunity, a senior commander of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards said on Sunday, according to the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA).

“An aircraft carrier that has at least 40 to 50 planes on it and 6000 forces gathered within it was a serious threat for us in the past but now...the threats have switched to opportunities,” Amirali Hajizadeh, head of the Guards’ aerospace division said.

He added, “If [the Americans] make a move we will hit them in the head.”

This isn't a band of syrian sunni civilians who formed rebel groups against which you'll fight. You'll be facing an actual army this time.

In the same way we respond to those attack us in past.

They have not declared war and we don't have the right to strike first without declaring war. Declaring war against US in our current situation is just suicide.
