2000 years old Shapur fortress
The Shapur Khast is a historical fortress in western Iran, dating back to the Sassanid era. Also known as Castle of Falak ol-Aflak is located in the centre of Lorestan province in western Iran. It is sited near a river, on a hill overlooking the city.

When Alexander the Great invaded Iran, the rulers of Lorestan decided to hide valuable objects of gold and silver in this fortress. Those antiques were accidentally found by the thieves after 2,000 years. Some have been restored and kept in the castle’s museum.

How a 400 year old caravanserai became of the world's most beautiful hotels.,

Isfahan’s Abbasi Hotel

Formerly known as the Mothers Inn caravanserai, it was built 400 years ago by sultan Hossaine of safavid dynasty. In 1960s Mehdi Ebrahimian, led a project to restore and reconstruct the caravanserai, committing to preserve the originality of the outward facade while renovating the caravansary's chambers and remodeling them into the hotel rooms.

In 2017, CNN hailed Abbasi Hotel as “the most beautiful hotel of the Middle East.”

700 year old Irrigation system still in use today:

How a 700 years ago Water irrigation architects provided water to city of Semnan...The river water is collected and divided into 5 streams and gravity fed into 6 collection pools to provide water to the neighbourhoods of the Semnan city.

There's a very similar fortress in Derbent, Daghestan as well whose original foundation was laid in Sassanid times.

anybody knew how much of the water would evaporaate before it reach destination , considering semnan is at the border of Dasht-e-Kavir.
you expect them at least in 20th century would have covered it .
that's why i believe Qanats are far more impersive than other irrigation system we built.

Any chance these were concealed in the past similar to how Roman aqueducts were?

don't knew . but honestly in courrent form at least 30-40 % of water is wasted before it reach destination
Most of that will drop if they create some form of concealment that prevents absorption of heat. The government should invest in this.

This Private museum is not very old (built 1971) but its architecture is based on the Iranian art dating back centuries...amazing tile works and details inside and outside..The place is called "Flower and Bird Museum of Shiraz"

Rayan Citadel

Rudkhan Castle
Situated close to Fuman city, Qal'eh Rukhan (Rudkhan Castle) is the largest brick and stone made medieval castle in Iran.
Constructed during the Sasanian era and rebuilt in 1096 the Rudkhan Castle is a special piece of Iranian history. Built between two mountain tops the fort conforms to the natural curvature of the mountain top.

Fort "Ernan"
Notice the purely Aryan name "Ernan"
In a 10,000 year old "Ernan" village deep inside Iranian desert. "Ernan" is the name of Zoroastrian prophet's daughter
The current structure of the fort was built by Qajar dynasty..needs to be restored:undecided:
