Iranian Navy | News and Discussions

IRGC-N doing some interesting things as of late. Clear determination to build a navy beyond just PG fast boats and mini subs.

@sahureka2
Must be less boring now lol. Iranian ship enthusiasts have been bored in these past years. Even IRI-N is building a good ship with proper radar in the Caspian.
Whatever happened to the new hovercraft that was coming out this year, they were doing tests and it was going to be unveiled shortly.

.

Seems the drones are using e/o, given that a lot of effort went into simulating a deep water environment with a wake and all with this target...

For the first time, during a joint operation with RH, SH and AB-212 helicopters, the Cobra attack helicopters of the Army Air Force carried out landing and take-off operations on the deck of Navy vessels and began to carry out operations in harsh weather conditions.

Iran needs to speed up her naval modernization program..one new surface vessel and one sub per year is the minimum...The current rate of modernization is just too slooooooooow!.I am even in favour of buying some surface ships from China..Blue water navy requires some serious investments...Subsurface must take priority over surface ships ...remember the only thing that bothers a western naval power is SUBSURFACE....SUBS are the nightmare of a western Admiral not the surface ships:undecided::undecided:..and that is not my personal opinion!

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei stressed the need for the Iranian Navy to bolster and maintain its presence in international waters.

Ayatollah Khamenei further highlighted the importance of creating a culture in this regard and developing a public understanding of the sea as a fundamental infrastructure, saying, “The issue of development of the Makran coasts has been mooted in the past few years and the administrations also welcomed it, but a significant progress in this field requires culture-creating.”

The Leader also pointed to the effective role of artistic products, such as animations, in publicizing the diverse opportunities available in the sea, noting that the presentation of capacities for Iran’s sea-based progress in the military and civil sectors will generate public enthusiasm for grasping those opportunities.

. . . .

Grazie in anticipo
