Iranian military engine development news and updates

Very interesting news. As North Korea is producing its own Mig-29 with its own RD-33, thus, I was nearly sure and certain that Iran will show us in near future, its own indigenous RD-33, but this news does show another thing.
In any way, I am nearly certain Iran will show us in a near future something that will surprise us again. We are living in a new era, in fact, the end of Western domination of the world. This era will provide Iran with new opportunities.
North Korean mig 29 are assembled in North Korea,they had assembly factory in North Korea for long time,but they never produced parts,parts were delivered from Russia,many people confused this as North Korean Mig 29,but that was just assembly facility,now did they actualy start production on their own,I dont belive it...bit who knows
 
North Korea does not have the industry capacity or funding to develop and build ...

This is the Western opinion based on the shits like 38North, Rand, Washington institute, etc...all based on South Korean secret services, if not outright defectors. In fact western fantasies.
My source is a reliable person, that knows very well NK. As U can see, NK's industry is capable to produce its own ICBM, SLBM, in a very near future its own nuclear propulsion submarine, locomotives, and its thermal electric powers, etc..... As U can guess, all these assets imply strong tool machinery and high-skill personnel. Seeing this, it is normal to see NK's next step is the development of aero engines, thus aircraft industries.

Things are more complicated than it would seem. Aircraft is in essence an offensive weapon, not a
defensive weapon. Russia and China do have strong relations with Japan, and South Korea, if they help NK to have offensive weapons, it does mean they want to cut relations with South Korea, Japan, in fact, the rest of Asia. USSR could in its time, because soviet leaders did not have good, or tight relations with the West. As U can see it is not the case with Beijing and Moscow leaders.
Hence neither China nor Russia can afford to help NK, on contrary, they applied the embargo against NK. Moreover, they agreed with the West to vote on several resolutions against NK in the UN assembly.
The myth of Russia or China did help NK is mere fake news spread by western intelligence agencies. Most of NK's technologies were developed by north Koreans.

In the DPRK, there are a huge number of facilities and research institutes focused on fields such as aerodynamics, thermodynamics, material engineering (including large-scale production of various composite materials), nanotechnology, microelectronics, etc. etc. North Korean programmers are among the world's best.
There's a lot going on there that we don't even know about. In 2016-2017, draconian sanctions were applied to devastate North Korea's military industry. And what happened? In 2020, we saw a military parade that took the breath away of even the biggest skeptics (and then tests of some weapons systems). The Self-Defense-2021 exhibition had the same effect.
There is no need to doubt the successful completion of the development of smaller turbofan engines in the DPRK. And there is no doubt that the country is building a large-scale aviation industry.
We have to wait. Because it is not a question of "if", but "when" we will see the first big results.

Well either way a since NK and Iran collaborate on a lot military and scientific projects over the years, them collaborating on joint tank, fighter jet or submarine would actually be beneficial, two heads are better than one or hundreds I guess
 
Afterburners are inefficient and dead weight, only reason they are used is to sacrifice fuel efficiency for sake of speed and make viable larger fighter jet designs.
RD-33 without afterburner would be ideal for Kowsar in order to not compromise fuel capacity that would have been reduced if it had afterburner.
50 KiloNewton's of dry thrust is that RD-33 has is 15% more than two J85-GE-21 using afterburner while only 1/3rd of specific fuel consumption.
Thus range can be effectively tripled along super cruise speed being viable and still less specific fuel consumption than dry thrust of J85.
It may very well be possible that Kowsar could even reach Mach 2 super cruise in clean configuration and once it had minimum fuel.

As for mention of North Korea in here, very little is known though education deductions can be made by observing their missile program.
Only mention of DPRK's jet engine capability is from 10 years ago in South about them producing RD-9 turbojet engine for Mig-19/J-6.
Though it is known that in 1980s with Chinese assistance a maintenance plant for J-6 jet and WP-6 engine was constructed in DPRK.
As for more recent times, DPRK testing land attack cruise missiles with 1500 to 2000 kilometer range indicates a turbofan engine.
Possibly more advanced than R-95-300 and perhaps too TRDD-50 that are small scale medium bypass turbofan jet engine.
They stated range of their latest LACM test to be around 2000 kilometers and nearly 3 hours of flight time/operation.
Basically from Pyongyang it could cover as far as entirety of main island of Republic of China, entire Taiwan.

Involving ballistic missiles using liquid fuel rocket engines, RD-250 equivalent is assumed with Hwasong-15 and Hwasong-17.
Though those demonstrated much longer operational time than original RD-250 ever did in any of revisions it ever had.
It would not be surprising if North Korea is producing any of turbojet engines used by Mig-21 such as R-25 for Bis.
Not sure if DPRK sees investment in developing any fighter jet for its air force viable unlike Iran does for itself.
 
or another example is czechoslovakian made TJ-100 mini turbojet engine with 1.3KN output thrust (which we know as toloue 10 engine and used in our s-191 drone) and they managed to produce a turboshaft version of it known as TS-100. this engine produces 240HP (two of this engines can power a bell 206 or shahed 285 helicopters).

Just came across this, interesting that Iran ended up copying the TJ-100. Wonder if the turboshaft conversion can be done as well to power light helicopters. I remember that Iran struggled producing the Shahed-278/285 series helicopters because they had to cannibalize or source the engines from abroad.
 
I do not know what is the complex in the manufacture of the turboshaft engine that Iran suffers from

Is it in superalloys?
Or does it not want a copy of the American engines so that it can export it?
Or it's in electronics and semiconductors?

She suffers from all of the above things

It has to exploit or invest in international conditions and go to contracts to manufacture turbofan, turboprop and turboshaft engines

I hope it has the necessary financing for these important industries

At the same time, she has to spend a lot of money
For semiconductor technology, superalloys, advanced type composite materials and ceramic materials

Iranian experts and scholars should acquire knowledge and tools

some types of optics
and some types of radars
And some kind of missile seeker
and rocket engines
and coating of missiles and planes
and structure of aircraft types
 
A new domestic aircraft engine will be unveiled in kish airshow which starts at December 23rd.

News on MAPNA website is different. it says a new ground based mobile test stand for aircraft engines will be unveiled in the airshow and a passenger jet engine which contains parts manufactured by MAPNA will be tested on it.

but which other countries did Russia let "assemble Mig-29s"? Doesnt India buy Mig-29s direct from Russia still?
 
So far i understand no new engine just overhauled engine with new testing setup.
