AV-8A and AV-8B were used extensively by USMC, next to F/A-18Which is ? As far as I'm aware the backbone of USA navy airplane fleet is f-18.
That is because US aviators had to learn how to use the Harrier proper. Again, the F-14 was used by the navy, and later came the F-18. With the USMC (Marines!) it was Harrier and then also F-18.Well as far as I'm aware USA used f-14 before they use f-18 by the way this is interesting about the reliability.
What, top of bottom or both?

There are two generations and four main variants of the Harrier family, developed by both UK and US manufacturers:
- Hawker Siddeley Harrier (Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.1/GR.3/GR2A/GR 4/4A/GR8 = AV-8A/C/S Harrier)
- McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II

"Iran Aviation Industries Organization"Showcased in a ceremony full of jet engines !
The picture behind is about Mig-29 .. it seems ..."Iran Aviation Industries Organization"
"National Defense Industry Day"
"a Defense Ministry exhibition showcasing the latest achievements in the air defense industry"
I presume?
Blown up, it looks like a gearbox, pump, compressor or something like that to me. Stuff in the back shows F-14 Tomcat with wings retracted. In combination with the other picture, which may be a model of a turbofan, I'm incluned to think it is an F-14 component.
Cruise missiles aren't really air defence equipment.
1.Titanium is a requirement for a real fighter program and you can't cheat your way around it.
Yeah, it could be a Mig-29, as it is partially covered and blurry. But that doesn't change my conclusion about the part. It could be a domestically replicated Mig-29 component then. The picture behind is about Mig-29 .. it seems ...
Can't tell, really. Why do you think it is?
