Iranian Ground Forces | News and Equipment

I’m no fan of Turkey, but this simply ain’t true. As NATO’s largest army (excluding US obvious), they are equipped per NATO standardized requirements. Turkish soldiers are well equipped for a middle eastern military. Azerbaijan is a different story.

Turkish soldiers in Syria:

Ironically IRGC is the LEAST equipped in Syria outside of special forces units. Average HZ soldier was usually better equipped than average IRGC “adviser” during the civil war.
This is just blatantly false. Your pictures actually prove my point. In almost all images of Turkish soldiers in Syria (not talking about Turkish special forces or elite commandos), you see the following problems

• No actual body armour. Whilst they issue plate carriers from Anafarta and Vogel Tactical, they do not issue any plates with them. Maybe 1 in every 20-50 soldiers have plates. Not to mention said vests usually don't have any kevlar protection either. IRGC soldiers have Ruyin-2/3 as standard

• Whilst use of high cuts & semi-high cut helmets (FAST & MICH) is usually good, Turks use them in the worst pay possible. The whole point of these helmets is that they sacrifice side protection to allow wearers to mount ear to, as well as offering rails for things like NVGs. Turks do not issue either of those outside of elite special forces units. Honestly they should just adopt ACH or something more protective as standard

• A problem shared with IRGC-GF, very rare to see optics & you'll never see NODs outside of socal forces. Though this issue exists is essentially all Asian, African, & South American armies with like 2 exceptions.

Hezbollah used the same equipment as IRGC-GF, there. For most of war, IRGC-GF & Hezbollah were the best equipped by far. IRGC-GF/Basij were running around with Ruyin-1/2/3 body armour, RU60/90/120G thermal optics, ACH style helmets, proper MOLLE equipment, & radios whilst other factions didn't even issue helmets regularly.

I can send pics of IRGC in late 2000s to early 2010s, to compare with Turkish & Azeri soldiers

Iran guns for the ground troops look badass, as must be.

Iranians must think in laser weapons also. Iranian has laser technologies and must dare to be ahead of their enemies.

Iran must be innovative, and bring drones to ground battle also in a effective combat way.

as seen in other threads we are currently installing Sateb Laser cannons on Radar stations / other vehicles and stationary stations

but Iran is actually also developing Laser Rifles for Infantry.

we made the first Laser Rifle prototype in 2022 called shafaq Laser Rifle.
