Motor vehicle production is different from cars production.

In 2015 we produced 884 k cars and you produced 791 k.

No, Iranians don't prefer foreign brands. Rich Iranians who have ultra money buy foreign cars.

Anyway it's stupidity of our government that we import foreign cars and waste our money. We should help our own industry. We have one of the biggest and oldest automotive industries in the world and we are producing cars since 60's. Importing cars from abroad will harm our industry and destroys jobs in Iran.

Your trolling doesn't work since we export cars to many countries including Russia, Ukraine and Belarus if we produced low quality cars we couldn't export.

My uncle bought an Iranian made peugeot 206 15 years ago and it still works better than clock. It's still like its day one after 15 years. Also I believe Samand is one of the best sedan cars in the world.

Iran doesn't import any cars from Turkey. Actually if you care to do a little research you'd know that samand sold a fortune in Turkey.

Just some years ago we produced ~2 mil. Vehicles per year which was reduced due to sanctions as apparent in your table. In a 2 year period we'll surpass our previous high since many MOUs are signed with world leading companies like Renault and Mercedes

Unfortunately its not for sale on the market. I've heard of people owning them but of course they're agha-zadeh (with links to special organization) and not normal people

I prefer British cars. Don't get me wrong, I hate Indian cars too. The car my mom owns is ugly. I'd get her a BMW 5-series in coming years. And a Jaguar XK for me, probably next year.
