TEHRAN, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- A top commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said Sunday that the U.S. military bases in the region are within reach of Iranian missiles, Press TV reported.

"In addition to the U.S. bases in the region, we have all their vessels, including aircraft carriers and warships, under fire of our missiles to a radius of 2,000 km, and are constantly monitoring them," Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC's Aerospace Division, said.

"They (Americans) thought that they could get out of our range of (missile) fire if they stand 400 km away (from Iran's territorial waters). However, no matter where they are, if a conflict is ignited, their warships will be the first to be targeted by our fire," Hajizadeh was quoted as saying.

He said that Iran is "always ready for a great war" with the United States.

Hajizadeh also referred to shooting down of an "intruding" American spy drone by Iran's air defense forces over the country's southern waters in June, saying it was done in

I will read it this way "a third world country like Iran is saying that US military bases in the region are within reach of Iranian missiles (Russian missile technology proliferated to Iran)".

.
Sounds like the bluster the Iraqis used to come out with before they got flattened by the mighty war machine.

I would think so considering the Persian Gulf is only 250Km wide. Even MLRS systems can achieve that range. Are they saying before now it was out of reach??

So much anti-Iran sentiment and hatred from Pakistanis on here.

Really shocking.

Reference to U.S. CSGs no longer entering the Persian Gulf and preferring to stay near Oman to stay out of the reach of Iranian missiles.

Iran has had Scud missiles for a long time. They can easily cross the Gulf and hit US Naval bases. Not sure what’s the purpose of announcing this as something new.

It is not a matter of range but the political will and power. Many countries have capabilities but they cannot use them for non-technical or political reasons.

They are referring to anti-ship missiles that can hit US warships loitering in the Arabian Sea, not SSMs to hit US land bases.

LOOOLs ... with that logic pakistan is made in PRC !

Yes Pakistan has got a lot of technology from PRC but also added new features to match our own region specific needs. What is wrong in accepting that, PRC itself got that technology ultimately from Russia at some point in history.
