What's new

Iran says U.S. military bases in region within reach of Iranian missiles

. . . .
Yes Pakistan has got a lot of technology from PRC but also added new features to match our own region specific needs. What is wrong in accepting that, PRC itself got that technology ultimately from Russia at some point in history.
Yeh and US got their tech mostly from Germany (jets, nukes and rockets) and Europe.

.
Iran cannot stand infront of u.s.carpet bombings on iran can destroy their capability to respond.Remaining missiles can be intercepted by u.s or disabled by electronic warfare, even if few hit u.s bases it is not big loss for u.s, but I think u.s is not serious to attack iran as they need iran to destroy arab world and promote secretarian violance in Muslim world

.
I will read it this way "a third world country like Iran is saying that US military bases in the region are within reach of Iranian missiles (Russian missile technology proliferated to Iran)".
Both Iran and Pakistan are third world countries, and there is nothing wrong in accepting it because it is a reality.
so your initial post was pointless then! ha...had to say it since you've implied it. smfh.

Iran did not even launch a saturation attack on the KSA oil fields, they only fired like 10 or 20 missiles or drones, @Hamartia Antidote please enlighten us why didn't American radars detect them (let alone intercept them)? were the operators drinking coffee during the attack? or are a dozen Iranian missiles too much for US radars to handle?
they cant even intercept a dozen Iranian missiles (not a single missile was intercepted) yet there are braindead delusional "Analysts" like the national interest's Kyle Mizokami who say things like "oh yeah we will wage war on China if they attack Taiwan".

That "third world" country has already humiliated the US time and again. Most recent example is wrecking their most expensive UAV.

(Russian missile technology proliferated to Iran)".

Iran barely uses any Russian missiles technology, this is no 1980's. You need to lay off whatever you're smoking.

Let me know which Russian technology this Iranian anti ship ballistic missiles is:

What’s this have to do with the bases? Iran can just launch 500 MLRS rockets across the gulf and even a Russian S-500 system isn’t going to be much help.

I’m the one posting this capability of Iran isn’t new.

I told you already, the general said bases and ships up to a 2000km distance. Why are you playing dumb?

Which US Bases are you talking about? Almost all of the largest major and important ones are near the Iranian border in the Gulf or in Western Afghanistan within MLRS range.

Maybe Prince Sultan in Saudi Arabia (I believe no non-believer troops in Saudi) or maybe the ones in Eastern Afghanistan/Kyrgystan? Thumrait Airbase in Oman? Some shared base in Turkey? Socotra??? The one in Iraq near the Syrian border?

Or do you mean Entrea or Djbouti at just at the max limit??

Current known range of Iranian ASCM = 300km. Enough to cover all of the Persian Gulf. Hence, US CSGs don't enter the Persian Gulf anymore.

Current known range of Iranian ASBM = 700km.

So in the event of a US strike against Iran, US CSGs could fire their tomahawks then retreat a bit further south and be safe from retaliation.

However, what the General is saying is that Iran now has ASBM that go far beyond this 700km range and thus US ships won't be safe.

How thick are you? US ships parked in their 5th Fleet base in Bahrain have been within Iran’s missile range for at least 15 years.

The only reason they aren’t going into the Gulf right now is because tensions are super hot not because of some new capability that suddenly makes them vulnerable.

Iran is saying not only do you have to worry about our OLD stuff hitting you in your established bases in the Gulf and Afghanistan but NOW you have to move even further out due to our NEW stuff which can reach well beyond the Gulf and deeper into Afghanistan.

Go look where USS Abraham Lincoln is.

You're welcome.
