Your mistake for misreading (and lacking basic geography competence, but we already know that about Americans).

Map clearly shows CSG is not in the Gulf of Oman and is in the Arabian Sea. Thus, the point stands. Regardless, if the US wanted to strike Iran it would likely move further away from Iran's coast. Hence, this thread reporting the news of an Iranian General saying this would not save them (allegedly).

What makes you think US would use CBG for attacking Iran?
It would be more likely B-2 flying from US mainland,refueling somewhere in EU and then striking Iran.
