Until now I used to believe that Iran was not able to produce a fighter jet. I used to believe that in order build its new Azarakhsh and Saequeh, took the engines of its F-5. Until I discovered that there several hundreds of these two fighters, plus at least a hundred F-5. Now with the possibility to mass produce such engines, it changes completely. Could U confirm this ?

Thats great.. Did you guys actually fit it in real airplane and test its performance? Indian Kavery Engine failed after 40 years of trying.

Yes it is. The whole point of this project was to develop base capabilities for producing jet engines, so first phase was successful. J85 produced domestically. Gov official said jet engines which are 2 and 3 times more powerful than this one are already under development. Hopefully they will be turbofan ones. Producing jet engines is the most difficult part in planes. I believe this is a very important achievement. How many countries do you think can produce a J85 right now domestically without outside help? It's a milestone.

no one sell us any jet engine , so if we can develop this owj to something like CF700
then we can make something like this easily ...

or revive Iran 140 airliner with this engine ....

and if we can make these , all sanction on airliner will become meaningless and both west and east will have to sell their jet in fair price and with full support to us ...

For commercial use, we are developing large UAVs with jet engines, we can incorporate this engine into our large armed UCAVs and also, light training aircrafts. But the most important part is being a baseline for developing more powerful engines.

I mean -as Iam not a specialist- what are the links between MAPNA gas turbines and jet engines -turbofan- ? What did you mean ?

Back in 2010, TUGA, which is a subsidiary of Mapna responsible for production of gas turbines started adding new production halls to its existing complex in Karaj. It was just before the days that recent sanctions were placed. Back then it was said that the new facility was for producing petrochemical industry turbo compressors but I personally heard from people involved that it is a dual use production line which will also produce jet engines. That was why back then Tuga's CEO was pushing to get all of the production machine tools to Iran as soon as possible and before the sanctions be put in place.

So what @SOHEIL means is that Mapna (Tuga) is no longer a gas turbine manufacturing company. Building turbojet engines is well within its capabilities.
