Iran acquiring technology to manufacture Siemens F-Class gas turbines

Iran is not Turkey.

When Iran was put under sanctions, Iran did not care for "agreement". It used the technologies it had bought from Siemens previously, to manufacture turbines without asking for "permission".

Iran is an independent country that respects others and their agreements as long as they respect Iran.

And the F-16 are assembled in Turkey. Manufacturing components from raw materials is something else. Technology cycle means, starting from minerals and simple raw materials and work your way up to a finished product.
Believe in whatever you want dude, really, im not gonna discuss it further with you if you want to sing yourself into sweet dreams. No offence.

What exactly is a sweet dream? That Iran was under sanctions and had to fend for itself? That it had to ignore agreements and licenses in order to survive? That Turkey assembles F-16s from knock down kits instead of producing them from scratch? These are all realities!

Read the whole conversation, my reply is based on the original topic.

Unfortunately @xenon54 is right.
Siemens cannot export technological knowledge without explicit permission given by the German Government due to German export regulations.

Another source: Siemens: Kooperation im Iran zur Lieferung von Gasturbinen - Nachrichten - DIE WELT

It is a license agreement. Any violation of the arrangement leads to far-reaching sanctions on said Iranian company. Even an imitation of the turbine will cause penalties that could reach billions of USD.

Guys, you are now part of the global economy. Intellectual property theft, violation of license agreements and espionage are off the cards now. That's the downside of nuclear agreement with the West.

However, I blieve in Iran's own possibilities and abilities to develope into an economy with
a stable currency, increasing industrial production and rising employment numbers.

So ,Reformist news agencies forged another lie to fool the people .

No they just kinda manipulated the news. This is the case with most of the biggest new agencies, either that or they simply dont know the difference(which is usually 99% of the time the case).

Can you post a link from a reformist news agency? Almost all of our news agencies are too stupid to comprehend the difference between ToT and license production.

I'm not sure either about details, but this is from official Siemens website as @mohsen pointed out.

Siemens has signed far-reaching agreements with the Iranian MAPNA Group to strengthen their cooperation in order to modernize the energy infrastructure in Iran. First, under a license agreement, MAPNA will acquire technological knowhow to manufacture Siemens F-class gas turbines in Iran.

If I'm not mistaken, there are different kinds of license agreements, maybe some include ToT to some extent.

Siemens . such a bad memory .....

don't forget the past incident of Stuxnet .

Good deal as long as we don't trust these people with the basics .

how about the time they helped regime to track and Eavesdrop people and protesters in 2009?

.
I emailed Siemens. I hope they reply.

Oh that time? I dunno. I resigned as the head of Iranian intelligence service.

Please share your inside information and enlighten us with your real-time knowledge of our country

In fact, this is a good deal, even if it is a license agreement or TOT. It shows again that the carrot works, Iran should be realistic and pragmatic. She also needs to calm down and stop its useless threats/radical rhetorics against Israel, since that has (and will) lead her nowhere but incur sanctions and isolation.

So the Mullahs better make good use of this opportunity while Obama is still in power, since he is a very isoft/diplomatic/friendly president. Iran wont have such an opportunity anymore. So they shouldnt mess it uo with unnecessary provocations and propaganda. EITHER TRUMP OR HILLARY CLINTON WILL BE THE NEW PRESIDENT OF U.S less than a year from mow, we all know they wont tolerate any such rhetoric, since they are against this nuclear deal relief in the first place. So hopefully the Mullahs will keep things calm and not do anything stupid that will bring back sanctions. That way we can all enjoy the benefits of trade, investment and business.:)
