SU-35 will be for navy role to replace old 40 mirage 5 used by the naval airforce.
Basically to be a 5th gen,you need to have a high degree of stealth,Rafale,EFT2k,F-15E have a degree of stealth in them but it doens't make em 5th gen.
Pak is getting 5th by 2020,mark thy words.TFX and J-31 by 2025,till then SU-35 will fill the gap.

but su35 is not a naval version of the su-30 series....
what i mean to say is the avionics, radar, weapons, handling characteristics is on per with 5th gen but what it is lacking is stealth. (as per the russian engineers)
pakistan can't get j-20... china wont sell them but surely j-31 which has more advantages than f-35 and less disadvantages

According to Indian posters MKI after having upgrade similar to the SU-35's could even out perform the PAKFA. With that logic Pakistan should only look towards F-22 Raptors.

Su-35 for chinese costed less as they already had the infrastructure to build and maintain similar platforms.Pak will doing this from scratch intial batch will costing a whole lot more,125 a piece or even more,84 million is just for the plane,spares,engines,expertise,training another 50 million/plane.Just the engine AL-41 is one expensive engine,RD-93 basically a 70's tech jet costs 3million$ a piece,Al-41 has thrust vectoring,offers super cruise.
Price will get down after 2 squadrons worth of jets have been delivered,around 36 jets.
Sanctions won't be much of a problem in the procurement of Su-35,only delays can make situation worse,Pak needs to be careful in ordering,it will better order less but order alot more spares.

In short, the PAF may seek up to six Su-35s for around $500 million U.S.

Assigned life is better than AL31 ,like i said many manufacturing defects from earlier models are corrected .

If a game is been played by US then it is better to both India & Pakistan play safe.

A West Asia like situation in East/South Asia will make US without competitor for near future. At present situation US is struggling to handle China but, if Syrian like situation is created in South or East Asia, then just like in West Asia, where Russia is engaged in bitter war and if they able to engage China on their backyard. Then US will feel more secure as its vital interests and role as a global policeman will continue without any hiccups.

The way Afghanistan is exploding every day and the way India behaving Kashmir, reactions of Pakistan on both cases and issues of SCS between nation’s and stance of US and its allies just points towards a chaos in South and East Asia.

US will feel its playground will be more secured as both of their nemeses are engaged in turmoil, thereby helping US to regain its lost time and widen economic growth which was covered by China’s rapid growth.

What you have read is ,MKI upgrades will include tech from PAK FA that should make it better that SU 35.

True Naval versions are carrier based aircraft. All other fighters can perform naval duties. Like JF-17 already doing.
Pakistan doesn't need carrier based aircraft.

True Naval versions are carrier based aircraft. All other fighters can perform naval duties. Like JF-17 already doing.
Pakistan doesn't need carrier based aircraft.

Bro that wouldn't be case for Pakistan. They have defense cooperation in every field. I don't know any other two nations cooperating in defense so much.
But Pakistanis are being offered to join Turkish TFX, so I think there's no chance of Chinese J-20.
Also accusation of J-31 depends on how early India gets hand on PAK-FA.
