Not an easy win, but there are still another 2 months preparation before second window games are played in which not only Indo has to face Thailand again but also South Korea and Philippine.

So it is fixed that Indonesia needs to make a new basketball stadium, most probably with more than 10.000 seats capacity and is located in Jakarta. I would say it is also good for our bid for Olympic 2032/33. I predict we are going to build it in West Jakarta or East Jakarta since they are many available land there, South Jakarta/Central Jakarta/North Jakarta has been relatively quite dense already.

Indonesia needs 209 cm tall center, Lester Prosper, that was previously a Dominican player to strengthen the team. FIBA allows any team to have one naturalized player. This is our effort to stay competitive since in general Indonesian people is not tall, so it is very difficult to find some one that can fill center position. With this team, I am optimistic we can be very competitive against South Korea, Philippine, and Thailand teams in the third window competition.

Indonesia basketball league (IBL) will play again in 2021 inshaAllah and the competition will start on 15 January. Base on what Indonesia national team coach said, national team will also join the competition to prepare for February Asia Cup games in Philippine. Due to pandemic, the team doesnt have luxury to play against foreign teams for practice.

I will try to post some dunks made by Indonesian IBL local players. First start from Dodo. He was one of our main national players (playing as starter) since 2008 if I am not mistaken.

Ebrahim Lopez or people call him Biboy is also a good dunker. He has played in national team previously, including in Asean Games 2015 and 2017 when Indonesia reached final.

Indonesia vs Japan in Jones Cup July 2019, Taiwan. Japan uses 1 naturalized player while Indonesian team only use local players.

One of Indonesia talented young player, Derrick Michael, 17 years old, 205 cm. He is African mix blooded and will be very helpful if he can improve his shoot and dribble and then play in power forward position. Indonesian national basketball team has already got two capable center with 209 and 205 centimeter high, but the team strength will be boosted if we have forward above 200 centimeter, currently our power forward players only have 195 cm height.

He is part of national team but he hasnt been part of team that play in FIBA Asia Cup window two in Dubai in December. We will see whether coach will give him opportunity to play at FIBA Asia Cup window three in Philippine. It will be interesting to see current team to play against Philippine and South Korea.

When he played in High school competition, he used to play in Center position but after he join national team there is attempt to make him play in power forward and improve his dribble and shot.

This is when he played one on one with one of Indonesian professional basketball player, Kelly Purwanto, who play in guard position.

Another potential young player, Armando from Papua province. He is still 18 years old and has 195 cm height. If he can improve his dribble and shooting, he can join Derrick Michael in senior team as power forward. As usual, he used to play as center in Indonesia during his high school time. Currently he is part of junior national team players and still play as center.

If Indonesia some how can be 8 best team in upcoming FIBA Asia Cup Final round 2021, so Indonesia will be eligible to play in World Cup 2023. He can be a good addition if he can improve his skills.
