Indonesian Air Force also has no AWACs.

Indonesian Air Force would fare little better than the Iraqi Air Force in the face of a highly networked opponent with substantial support and recon assets.

So far only US can attack us like what they did to Iraq and also with the assumption that Australia will let US to use Darwin as their military operation base.

Iraq had 500 planes vs coalition 2000 planes with AWACs.

Indonesia has less than 100 combat aircraft and no AWACs, 1 tanker. No strategic recon, no support, little interoperability.

So far only communist sympathizer had backstabbing Indonesia by military means during Madiun affair in 1948 when Indonesia is in great struggle against Dutch and by pleas of Australia and US Dutch willing to back to round table. And they repeat the order by 1965 affair, communist is clear danger for religious and freedom loving society like Indonesia.

And you know which country is one atheist based community and lead by communist party? I would rather in cooperation with Ahlul Kitab compared to atheist, at least they had something in common with us and can be talk to.

I just make a guess about which country has the capability to attack Indonesia like what happen in Iraq, so far China doesnt have that capability to do so to Indonesia due to their limited amount of aircraft carriers. Only USA who has such capability. Maybe limited military conflict in North Natuna sea can still happen, due to airfield China has in SCS and two aircraft carrier they already have.

They will if they have interest.

Military attack is only 1 way to intervene; supporting one party that can commit to support US interest, supporting NGO's, destabilizing politics are other way they can do (remember what happen in 1965?).

Major power always can consider military power to support their interest.

a few J20,J16 on scs island, alone with awacs aircraft, elint, tankers would do the job, indo airforce really lacks fighter and special mission ac, datalink,sat,drone.

But for war like gulf war, you will need hundreds sorties.

Sending fighter bombers for those sorties from 3000km away besides not efficient, prone to be intercepted either by fighter/missile either from Indonesia or US or ally's forces; at least the tankers are the easiest and critical target.

Most probably they can. They already have 2 ac carriers and other 2 are in progress, including the LHAs.
