Indira Nooyi being considered to lead World Bank

Of course you do and you also stay at the Imperial Palace in the forbidden city when you are not jet setting and dining with Presidents and Prime ministers at tour real estate empire in the capitals of the world.
Of course you take time off to contribute to the worlds leading informative influential forum such as PDF when your busy schedule at Davos allows
Talk about a craven boot licking inferiority complex. :woot::lol::omghaha:

The reality is he is likely a munchkin serving under an Indian boss, and he comes here to blow off some steam lol.

Just the amount of time they waste trolling non stop saying the exact same thing is hillarious. What's even funnier is they dont get that this just augments the stereotype of their people in the end haha. All because no other defence forum (past chinese controlled ones) tolerates their BS lol....no "iron brother" admins there to cocoon and shelter and even encourage their lunatic ravings and repeated braying.

Left to more fair open discussion out there, they get torn to shreds (because simply they cant resort to clownish repetitive trolling anymore) ...so they gallantly come charging in here for some refuge lol, and grow dependent on it too (opium dens have a bit of history in China after all).....given the harshness even out there in online world....and above that because their own life is so pathetic and counter to their fantasies/feelings.

You have a point here.
We do find Solace at this excellently moderated Pakistan Forum.
Out there, millions of 1.3 BILLION STRONK Indians will attack like cockroaches and locusts.
These millions of idling Indians in the IT industry indeed is formidable and pesky.
Coupled that with their OBNOXIOUS behavior, its SUFFOCATING to engage with them.

Moderators should rightly give us Non Indians some leeway.
You are RIGHT, millions of intransigent Indians out there will no doubt make life hellish.
You see them crawling everywhere.
Woe betide you if you happen to cross them.
Indian Argumentative Distaste is World Renowned.
Let me give you a sampling of what others and Indians think of Indians.

As you can see the most recent survey years vary, but it didnt stop a bunch of Pakistani members like @RiazHaq from comparing them when India's was much older (like from 2005) so had "worse" score than Pakistan (which had the 2012 survey in its case) in those results. It has fallen out of vogue in those quarters ever since India's survey from 2015 came in.

@VCheng

The person you mentioned (other than me :D) is a statistical juggler at best and an outright liar at worst, who gets away with such fraud simply because it suits a particular narrative here, that is all.

Now, to your exercise in estimating the number of poor people. Let us start with the definition of poverty.

. .
Yet another thread on INDIAN who is NOT FROM INDIA.
Most probably due to extreme Inferiority Complex and severe LACK of achievements in 1.3 BILLION STRONK INDIA.
Only proud ancient VEDIC achievements, SADLY.

She is from India and studied till undergrad in India. She however rose to the top in US like many Indians. It is true that because for low HDI in India the growths stunted.
You are trolling unnecessarily without contributing much and providing false information

That is a different conversation then...I am just challenging the notion that India has more poor people than all of Africa (given their total number would also increase if you raise the threshold of poverty standard).

So I am waiting for his reply on which threshold he thinks suitable that will get 400 million poor people in India, so we can look at how many in Africa fall under that same threshold....it will be way more than that for sure.

In fact when we look at multi-dimensional poverty, India does better than Pakistan even:

https://ophi.org.uk/multidimensional-poverty-index/global-mpi-2018/

  • In 2015/16, more than 364 million people are still MPI poor in India.
  • In India, 271 million people moved out of poverty in ten years.

compared to for Africa:

  • 560 million MPI poor live in Sub-Saharan Africa.

For south asia the MPI scores (headcount * intensity) are (lower is better):

India = 0.121 (2015-2016)

Bangladesh = 0.194 (2014)

Pakistan = 0.228 (2012-2013)

By pure headcount only (during the respective survey years):

India = 27.5% = 364 million people

Bangladesh = 41.07% = 66 million people

Pakistan = 43.9% = 80 million people

As you can see the most recent survey years vary, but it didnt stop a bunch of Pakistani members like @RiazHaq from comparing them when India's was much older (like from 2005) so had "worse" score than Pakistan (which had the 2012 survey in its case) in those results. @VCheng
Let's not quibble over these numbers. They are irrelevant, both numbers and the not picking.
It is true that India is behind on a number of parameters and we have a long way to go to make life worth living for millions. Whether it's 100 , 200 or 500 is irrelevant, they are all large numbers. The biggest risk for all of us impacting Ambani Rahul Gandhi Modi and the poor is pollution , climate change and such things.these guys like to troll.

I should have said "INDIAN no LONGER an INDIAN citizen and whose success NOT ACHIEVED IN INDIA".
And let's not kid ourselves, we don't use much of what we studied at U.
And you are contributing A TON HERE with your post.

Well you are the one bragging about being successfull here and there. What happens to them in India then? Why cant you make that successfull? 70 % of your country has dirty drinking water. About 400 million are poor. Millions are homeless. There is a problem of pooping everywhere because you cant be half assed about building toilets. And here you are bragging about a random person posted in world bank . How is that India's achievement exactly?
A man from a poor beggar country talking about others being poor .ha ha ha .....:enjoy:

I have contributed just enough to ensure the information you provide is accurate.
I think you should speak for yourself about using what you studied at uni.
Indeed the success is not achieved in India. We could write a tome about the reasons for why Indians succeed but India doesn't.
Do you want to discuss that?

A man from a poor beggar country talking about others being poor .ha ha ha .....:enjoy:
I object. Yes he is from a beggar country which is run by a deep state . But there is nothing stopping a citizen of such a country to express his opinion irrespective if how it exposes his vacuous mind and I will defend with all my might his right to do so. So please back off .

I don’t buy sugar water stocks, I am bullish on Microsoft earning next week.
I am sure .. obviously you think differently from Warren buffet

I have nothing against his investment mantra, I am sure Coca Cola and Pepsi can still pay a very decent dividend year after year, but I do not see any growth in that segment.

Warren Buffet also said Amazon and Google as a bubble.

Couldn't help but intervene ,Value investing done by Warren Buffet is a thing of Past,one can see that in his declining returns,he missed the t boom,he doesn't understand momentum and most importantly today the information is widely available thus reducing the edge he had earlier in detailed valuation based DCF investing,which made him what he is.

Pakistan = 43.9% = 80 million people

@VCheng

That's MPI indeed which uses a broader concept of poverty than income and wealth alone.

http://www.pk.undp.org/content/paki...istanis-live-in-multidimensional-poverty.html

But if its income and wealth alone the figures are very different.

Pakistan as per the world bank 2015 the MPI percentage is 24.3% on 197,000,000 people (2017)

https://data.worldbank.org/country/pakistan

There's another thread running on it;'

Pakistan doesn't have 80 million people in poverty as they would have been on this data from the World Bank.

He always maintained that he did not understand technology as a business. But yea like any other business his method has come to the end
