I'm not sure whether you have heard about something called as a government since you are Pakistan but here in India we have it and it's doing a brilliant job of bringing out the people from poverty line. The numbers are there if you want to see what's the current % people below poverty line and what that number was 5 year or 10 years back but I wouldn't want to bore you with that cuz stats are for morons. I can understand you have good faith as you want to somehow overnight bring out 400 million people out of poverty line in a day but that's not how it works sweety.

Well you explain how one country has more poor than entire african continent combined. Thats saying something because that continent is the poorest. Look at your ranking in hunger ,poverty , sanitation ,clean water ,pollution and here you are celebrating some random *** women in world bank which has nothing to do with India.

i do not know much of her early life. she grew up in india. i see she is not an engineer by training. i assume she is american citizen by now. i read some business columns about her. she was a very hard worker. but give credit to her bosses at Pepsi who recognized her talent and her work. she made most of the deals that allowed pepsi to catch up with coca cola in market cap. i think KO is still ahead. a lot of deals are classic case studies for business school.

it is amusing to see people make fun of her accomplishments. i won't mention the fact she is a woman and a woman of color to succeed in a white male dominated corporate environment
