India's liberal heart: Citizenship for Hindu refugees quadruples under Modi

If what you are saying is true then breaking coconut might have replaced animal sacrifice only once brahmins gave up sacrificing animals...sacrificing animals has always been there among all tribal societies of the world from time immemorial(in fact bakrid in Islam is one such tribal ritual which was part of pagan culture of Arabia).Naming them vama marg or kaula marg or satvik or tamas marg is insulting those communities..it is nothing but brahmin arrogance(plz don't tell me brahmins never sacrificed animals and British cooked up that history)..I am not endorsing animal sacrifice, don't get me wrong...all I am saying we shouldn't belittle people who are indulging in it by using brahmanical terms because brahmins themselves were once big animal sacrificers
Yes satvik pujas dont involve sacrificing animals. That ritual belongs to Tantric path. There are many ways to reach the goal.that is why Aghoris are also respected in Hinduism, where is it insulting or belittling other people.
The two schools of thought are well established.Ask any seer,Mystic and Sadhu they will explain well.

Maharishi Shukraacharya(The Guru/Teacher of Rakshasas) and teacher of tantric paths himself forbade drinking of Alcohol,Meat eating and Sacrifices after he learnt the lesson himself after the Kacha and Devyani episode. Before that he used to indulge in Meat Eating, drinking Alcohol.
Kacha (sage) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not me, You ask any tamil member here to answer this question, without using google. No one knows, people think here what we do is hinduism. This not part of tamil culture, so no tamil can answer this.
There are many ways to reach a goal,Whether you want to reach using the main road or the offbeaten path is for you to decide.Ultimately Hinduism welcomes all paths since their destination is the same.
Those who chose the Tantric path indulge in Sacrifice of animals.
Those who chose the Satvik path don't indulge in Animal Sacrifice, since they consider all life forms to be sacred.

So by this logic, from mayans to egyptians were hindus once.

In the marriage of maravars we will provide you mutton, maravars are a predominent caste in the southern tamil nadu. In which hindu marriage mutton will be supplied in any other state?

visit marriage in Telangana, Non-veg is must in many hindu marriages here..booze flows till the marriage ends...damn, some people serve meat even in house warming ceremonies... (while hindus from A.P and telangana do not follow this custom)

Fact is whatever we followed, has been made propaganda as part of hinduism. Vanniyars sacrifice pigs for their deities, they believe thats also hinduism. This is unique to tamil tradition, which is not found anywhere else as part of hinduism.
unique ?? In the interior villages of telangana ( esp in mahaboobnagar dst) there is a ritual celebrated every 5-10 yrs for the village deity pedamma talli.. In most villages the ritual starts with the sacrifice of a bull ( male buffalo) its head is paraded all around the village and the body is later buried( This part of ritual is followed most secretly as police wont give permission for the sacrifice of the bull, no one is allowed to either photograph/ take a video of ths sacrifice ).. they practically sacrifice everything that they could lay hands on during the ritual.. pigs make a small part of the meat served during the ritual... sacrificing pig wont even be counted as a sacrifice here... so there is nothing exceptional to tamilians in sacrificing a pig...

@wolfschanzze @Darmashkian telsa me idarki e ritual gurinchi ??

Whatever tamils followed as tradition, thats been told as hinduism. If tamils are more religious, brahmins wouldn't have thought packing their bags from here. In tamil films pooja seen comes, bcoz most of the producers are from andhra.

hinduism never had bounded rituals/customs it differed from region to region... kashmiri pandits even after calling themselves to be saraswathi brahmins eat meat, while many brahmins from rest of the country fathom even the thought of consuming meat... moreover an avg tamilian is no atheist... I have met enough of them.. I have a good number of tamili freinds, they are no less religious than any other avg Indian...

Average tamilian is no atheist? then you might be a bit older generation than us... Pagan worshippers and sacrifice existed everywhere in this world, from mayans to egyptians and arabs. If you go by that logic, whole world was hindus once

Ha ha... Tamils wanted chennai not tirupathi, a theory revolves that we cleverly took chennai and left tirupathi to andhra.

RSS ideology works out well. Whole world was hindus once, hmm great... prophet mohamed to jesus born in hindu families.
You can deny if you want, but you cannot quash the similarities of the gods they prayed to.
It's not RSS which made it up.There is a reason Abrahamic cults call others as Pagans.
