Yes satvik pujas dont involve sacrificing animals. That ritual belongs to Tantric path. There are many ways to reach the goal.that is why Aghoris are also respected in Hinduism, where is it insulting or belittling other people. If what you are saying is true then breaking coconut might have replaced animal sacrifice only once brahmins gave up sacrificing animals...sacrificing animals has always been there among all tribal societies of the world from time immemorial(in fact bakrid in Islam is one such tribal ritual which was part of pagan culture of Arabia).Naming them vama marg or kaula marg or satvik or tamas marg is insulting those communities..it is nothing but brahmin arrogance(plz don't tell me brahmins never sacrificed animals and British cooked up that history)..I am not endorsing animal sacrifice, don't get me wrong...all I am saying we shouldn't belittle people who are indulging in it by using brahmanical terms because brahmins themselves were once big animal sacrificers
The two schools of thought are well established.Ask any seer,Mystic and Sadhu they will explain well.
Maharishi Shukraacharya(The Guru/Teacher of Rakshasas) and teacher of tantric paths himself forbade drinking of Alcohol,Meat eating and Sacrifices after he learnt the lesson himself after the Kacha and Devyani episode. Before that he used to indulge in Meat Eating, drinking Alcohol.

There are many ways to reach a goal,Whether you want to reach using the main road or the offbeaten path is for you to decide.Ultimately Hinduism welcomes all paths since their destination is the same. Not me, You ask any tamil member here to answer this question, without using google. No one knows, people think here what we do is hinduism. This not part of tamil culture, so no tamil can answer this.
Those who chose the Tantric path indulge in Sacrifice of animals.
Those who chose the Satvik path don't indulge in Animal Sacrifice, since they consider all life forms to be sacred.
