Nope, the NRC drive is against illegal Bangladeshis in India(Assam) be it Hindus or Muslims, and that is our official stand in Assam. And are there no Nepali Hindus illegal in India? I've seen some reports of poor Nepali men tricked and smuggled into India for organ trafficking....Are they automatically legal???

Hindus can much more easily make claim for asylum in India by stating religious persecution in BD. There are those that have illegally crossed from BD sure, and have settled in N.E where its an issue (alongside bigger issue of illegal BD ppl that have no such asylum claim given they are muslims). Provided they make asylum claim and its accepted federally etc, they likely will stay in N.E or move to other parts of India if N.E people are hostile to having them etc.

There is open border (regarding migration) with Nepal. There is no concept of illegal Indian in Nepal or illegal Nepali in India. Both are free to reside and work in each other country.....of course as long as they have required papers showing citizenship in the home country.

That is just part of the broader criminal human smuggling that goes on in subcontinent. That's different subject.

They don't have to resist ,they just have to keep continuing to use their sense which is not common in our neighborhood.

Any Indian should be ready to prove his identity and that is not a pan card or adhaar card which people get by paying money.i can provide documents from my great grandfather times. You know who can't do that ,ones who are crying and bought their identity by paying money to get the identity card

India still is a secular democratic state...it cant become dominant towards one religion like Pakistan and Israel.

We shall see, this will be handled (Hindus from BD asylum) by judicial and legislative branch, we have to wait and see. Suffice to say, given the precedence of partition and the deep rooted narrative of the 1st generation of (Hindu) Bangals (who were often target of severe violence and forced to leave East Bengal) that has long permeated in Indian discourse and ethos....generally Hindus are given benefit of the doubt quite more readily (when they claim persecution on basis of religion) for asylum claim...which leads to landed resident status for time being and over time a path to citizenship.

Generally India is not favourable to claim of asylum/migration for economic reason ...given India is still very poor country and has to put its citizens first in this argument for a very long time to come.

India puts its citizens first? really ? In kashmir alone Indian state killed by its own admission way back in 2009 that more than 20,000 kashmiris. It sucks up tax money from south while humiliating them in giving out all govt communication only in hindi and english. Its uses muslims repeatedly as poison pill blaming all its failures on them and "security" situation.
