In cuddalore district vanniyars have the practice of sacrificing pork to their deities. Since i did my degree in annamalai university in cuddalore district i had the opportunity to eat twice through my friends.

Even my uncle(periyappa) used to cook beef in his home, i used to eat with him, its an exceptional case. In our hostel we will have ramzan briyani and people will fight for it, no religion comes to anyones mind while having it. Mohammad sathak, you heard in ramnad? There i did my polytechnic.
No one cares in tamil nadu what others eat, whether its a beef or something no one really bothers. That's what i want to convey ultimately, but it took so many twists and turns.
If people in TN cared what others eat, there would have at least a violence over beef. How many hindu muslim clashes happened in TN?I already mentioned environment is crucial factor to determine dietary habits. One of my brahmin friend joined in Syed ammal col.of engg Keelakari hope u know well , intially he tried to be a vegetarian. But situation forces him to take beef which is better compared to veg foods . Once he left that college no more fond of beef.
Bold part: I won't agree ..at least your family members bothers
cow's urine is spiritual for hindus . i have ni idea whats the logic behind it .
Nah not everyone.I for one am a complete veggie(although a rarest of rare sample among us no doubt). But majority of the Bengalis whether Brahmins or other castes strictly avoid eating beef although many of them do consume pork!!Well we bengali brahmins eat evrything...
