India's Hindus won't eat cows, but might drink their pee

Tamils won't eat cows/bulls few sects of people eat them. I hope that above post from such sects..........
Maintaining Jallikattu bulls are not an easy task first you need money ,lands, dedicated man/labours . If somebody selling such bulls means mainly due to financial crisis (sometimes aging problems) but definitely not for money.

All over India there are sects that will eat beef. I myself eat beef, although I do not belong to any sect that eats beef. But what Maravan posted above seemed to present a wrong information as if these people are representing TN entirely. Hence my argument. You are certainly right when you say people sell bulls only if they are facing a crisis.

Bhai i can say a lot of things which will sound ridiculous about Sikhism if i want to but i am not like you and hence i won't stoop to your level plus i have always revered the Sikh gurus and their teachings and have got high regards for Sikhism.Learn to respect other religions if you want them to respect yours.
On topic,we consider cow as our mother because other than our own birth mother we drink the milk provided by the cow since our birth. So this is the logic why cow is seen as a motherly figure by the followers of Sanatran Dharma and hence killing of cows is forbidden in our religion as we don't kill anyone whom we revere as our mothers:coffee:.
So when you are living in a country where 80% of the population consider cow as their mother,it's better for you to respect their sentiment by not slaughtering and consuming beef. After all we are not asking you or for that matter anybody to give up consuming meat,we are only asking you to stop slaughtering cows:coffee:

I'm totally ok with the above.

I wonder if a meat loving Parsi is ok with this, what is the problem of others who were once Hindu anyway?

Must be a defiance thing. We must finger.

This is the reason why your people and for that matter your religion are being ridiculed by the entire civilized world!!If you're a true Muslim then you should show respect to other religions because afaik it was the Holy Prophet(PBUH) himself who told his followers to respect all other religions:coffee:!!

Thanks a lot for your consideration in this matter sir:-)!!On topic,I seriously don't know sir but personally i feel that all the minority communities who live in India should show respect to the sentiments of a billion plus Hindus and refrain from slaughtering and consuming cow meat/beef.Plus there are a lot of alternatives to beef like lamb/goat meat, buffalo meat, chicken and other birds for the non-vegetarians:).

Once again, it is not considered respectable for a bull/cow owner in TN to sell his cow/bull for slaughter. Some do end up for that, but that is not the norm, is it?

As for seval-kattu and aattu sandai, these sports do not have a religious angle to them, do they? Do they do pujas for these roosters and goats? On the other hand, every bull is revered unlike the goat or rooster. That "reverence" factor does not apply in seval-kattu or aattu sandai, does it? Tell me honestly, how prevalent is beef eating in TN? Does any maravar household ever cook beef? Or for that matter does any one cook beef in any house?
Religion and diet are always seen with different eyes in tamil nadu. Does jallikattu have a religious angle? No. If you ask poojas are performed for goats and roosters like bulls, i would say yes. Before every animal sacrifice for karuppasamy, aiyyanar people do poojas for their animals, the poosari will do that.

Like bull cow has a religious angle, even roosters also have religious angle. What tamil lord muruga carrys in his flag? Its a rooster. People didn't see their diet from religious angle.

In Maravar house people won't cook beef, because it's not a traditional dish in our kitchen and the ladies are unaware to cook them. But how many tamils/maravars eat beef in hotels or with muslim friends during Ramzan? Can anyone deny that?

Personally I feel all of us Indians who live in India should respect each other's sentiments.

That's how I was brought up, and am trying along with my wife to bring my kids up.

I do not wish to see us as Hindus or Muslims. I wish to only see us as Indians.

Sometimes it happens mate cuz of envirormental factors like Bengali brahmins used to eat fish. Yeah true he keep on giving wrong information that in international forum about TN and not listing what other says.

Will you stop it ? why u bringing caste maravars always. I am also a maravan (Kondaiyankottai marvan) for ur info. My friends/ relatives and I didn't ate beef with others don't generalize everything .

Even in Nepal when buffaloes are sacrificed, pujas are done ahead. Because, it is done with a religious angle. When goats and roosters are sacrificed in temple there is a religious angle and puja is done. But they are sacrificed. On the other hand for bulls the puja is done as a worship. On mattu pongal they worship the cow in TN, don't they? Do they worship the rooster or goat in TN?

Like bull cow has a religious angle, even roosters also have religious angle. What tamil lord muruga carrys in his flag? Its a rooster. People didn't see their diet from religious angle.

However people still don't cook beef in households or sacrifice cows in temples. But that kind of privilege is not accorded to roosters. Because roosters are not worshiped in TN.

In Maravar house people won't cook beef, because it's not a traditional dish in our kitchen and the ladies are unaware to cook them. But how many tamils/maravars eat beef in hotels or with muslim friends during Ramzan? Can anyone deny that?

Why? How hard will it be to cook beef? Please don't say this big a lie, that it is because we don't know the recipe. No household will even allow beef into their kitchens. The recipes are easily available and it is same as cooking mutton. Go and ask your relatives, if they will cook beef if only they knew how to.

But how many tamils/maravars eat beef in hotels or with muslim friends during Ramzan? Can anyone deny that?
I know several North Indians who eat beef also. Even I eat beef as I said before. Once again, as I asked you earlier, is that a norm or an exception to the rule?

Even i am kondaiyan kottai maravar, did i told every maravan eats beef? In tamil nadu Even hindus run beef stalls near annamalai university, i ate beef there many times. Now you people don't generalise tamils don't eat beef at all.

Dude, it is I who does that first. So don't reprimand him. I normally bring the caste angle when talking to him because, he is unable to reconcile the Maravan traditions with the Dravidian stupidity. So comedy ensues as a result. Btw, I too am a Maravan. That makes 3 of us here so far.

I recommend you to read my post again, my post is not against religion it is against RSS & RSS is not whole religion in itself. Religion is banned topic here.
You can never be like me because at my level people never create trouble for others under the umbrella of religion. If you want to earn respect for your ideology then please stop imposing it on other faiths.
.After all we are not asking you or for that matter anybody to give up consuming meat,we are only asking you to stop slaughtering cows:coffee:
And I am only asking you to take responsibility of thing which is holy to you. People of other faith are also suffering due to you faith. Stray cattle is creating problems on roads & killing people on roads. Plus they are destroying precious crops of poor farmers. Injuries to farmers while protecting their farms in common in state.
I hate meat & I don't want to slaughter animal for it. My problem with you guys is you guys are forcibly shifting your responsibility on others. If you guys are ready to take responsibility of stray cows then I am with you & I will join your campaign to ban cow slaughter.
