Indian Navy Chetak crashes in Goa, pilots dead

Why are there so many crashes in India? Pilot error? Equipment failure?

The same reasons that crashes occur in any other country. Do you have a comparative list of helicopter crashes in India as a proportion of the number of helis flying and number of sorties? And have you analysed such data from several different countries to arrive at the conclusion that India has too many crashes? If not, STFU.

What a terrible news. I don't understand why the hell does HAL even agree to retain the Chetaks that are ancient already. The design is outdated, spares are hard to get and they've outlived their lives.

When are we getting the bloody 197 Ka-226Ts (or Fennecs) that were supposed to partly replace the Chetaks? What about LOH which was supposed to completely replace the Alouettes?
