If that was the case, there would have been no PFI aka SIMI, isn't it? Face it, Kerala is becoming the hub of jihad courtesy loose laws against mandated conversions and covert demographic warfare, coupled with islamic votebank hungry state governments in the guise of "secularism".
Despite getting statistical feedbacks on this thread you are just neglecting them, i mean what are you trying to prove here? are muslim in india lying on the roadside , begging for food and shelter in india or are they seeking an asylum in pakistan.? on that bases muslims are far batter off in india including my self too if we compare to pakistan. we have all the basic facilites for a living as every one does we don't need a speacical class for that, we own buisnesses which occupies a large part of market even at the national u can find some big names who own multilillion worth buisnesses
I've given the statistical data about the abysmal state of Indian Muslims in the other posts, while you have failed to produce any. The fact of the matter is, besides some rare exceptions/personalities, Indian Muslims as a community have become India's untouchables, even worse than Dalits.
You do realize you are speaking for Indian Muslims, while refuting an Indian Muslim. Do you see the contradiction? Please have some shame.
I am not speaking for Indian Muslims, I am letting the statistics do the talking; whereas I do not know whether the other person is even a Muslim in the first place.
You might not have a problem with the "misconceptions" I highlighted, but mainstream India still thinks majority of Muslim parents would rather send their children to Madrassahs than to regular schools. Non-Muslim Indians generally think Muslims are averse to acclimatizing into mainstream society. They think there is no institutionalized discrimination against Muslims, or the fact that, as the Sachar Commission Report pointed out:
Compared to the Muslim majority areas, the areas inhabiting fewer Muslims had better roads, sewage and drainage and water supply facilities.
In both urban and rural areas, the proportion of Muslim households living in pucca houses is lower than the total population.
The concentration of Muslims in states lacking infrastructural facilities implies that a large proportion of the community is without access to basic services.
Benefits of entitlements meant for the backward classes are yet to reach Muslim OBCs. The condition of Muslims in general is also lower than the Hindu-OBCs who have the benefit of reservations.
Access to government schools for Muslim children is limited. There is non-availability of schools within easy reach for girls at lower levels.
Again, Presidential Order of 1950 is a contradiction to the secular constitution of India. There are many other examples of how Dharmic minorities are treated differently from non-Dharmic minorities in India.
1) Compared to the Muslim majority areas, the areas inhabiting fewer Muslims had better roads, sewage and drainage and water supply facilities - the responsibility of the Indian state.
2) Access to government schools for Muslim children is limited. There is non-availability of schools within easy reach for girls at lower levels. - the responsibility of the Indian state
The Presidential Order of 1950 discriminates against the non-Dharmic minorities. <......>
North Indian Muslims have lower education levels (although there isn't a huge difference) than South Indian Muslims, they fare disproportionately worse (w.r.t education levels) than North Indian Muslims.
I think you meant North Indian Hindus and in your own confusion typed it wrongly.
First of all no...what North Indian Muslim ? Are they one homogenous sect ? No. The Bohras and Ahmedia are probably more educated and well off than most of the Hindus in North India.
The educated Muslim in Lucknow may be living better than the Hindu in Jharkhand. As I said, generalization of Muslims cutting across regional barriers is an exercise in futile.
Moreover the educated Muslim elite in North India fled to Pakistan leaving behind their poor, uneducated brethern at the hands of the uneducated Mullahs...so a lagging behind of the Muslims is generally expected and the good thing is they are coming up.
I meant to say "South Indian Muslims".
Then your statement makes absolutely no sense as the first and the second statement contradict each other.
Take some time, compose your thoughts and then hit reply.
I guess you didn't understand my post. Let me explain it to you again. North Indian Muslims have lower education levels than South Indian Muslims, but there isn't a huge difference. However, there is a large, disproportionate amount of difference between the socioeconomic conditions of Muslims living in North India, as compared to the ones in South India.
